The Inside Diameter is approximately 2 5/8" The bamboo is brought together at the top and held in place, I suppose, by the silver weave. The whole thing seems very strong. On the sides are the leaf scars, or knots in the bamboo. They are more constricted(or smaller in diameter) than the rest of the piece of bamboo which is approximately 3/8" Diameter. These bracelets are rare to find as a single. But to find a matching pair is very rare. Offered is an early Chinese export pair of silver Buddha bracelets, cuffs, or armbands. They are hallmarked China Silver and test to be coin silver or higher. They are a fine example of various silversmithing techniques includng repousse and engraving. Each bracelet displays scenes in three panels with decoration surrounding them. The maximum height is 4 1/8 inches. The cuff interior around the wrist tip to tip measures approximately 7 inches. Total weight for the pair is 153.6 grams. The gap opening is flexible. Condition is good. Vintage to Antique China Chinese Charm Bracelet. Articulated Fish. 1900s-1920s
These vintage to antique early 1900s to early 1920s CHINA charm bracelet s are becoming so scarce. They are so precious—handcrafted pieces of history that offers tiny snippets of life in China 100 years ago that you can still wear and treasure today. This is a great example. Killer patina and wear to the enamel. Just great. As is typical. This is made, I think, brass and copper or some related alloy with, of course, the enamel, and each charm is a little view into daily life in China back in the day. You can see see very nice color on the bracelet's enamel cabochons. Which isn't always the case, and vestiges of color on the charms. As well. The engraved box clasp, carrying the old style CHINA mark on the back, works, and the articulated fish- worth the price of admission as these fish charms are highly prized- seems totally intact ... moreand moves easily. I love these but I'm no expert on them. But I think the charm on the end near what looks like a pagoda would have been a ricksha originally and probably had wheels. On the other end. Note the open handled sedan chair, its metal beautifully textured to suggest wicker. The bracelet is about 7 1/2" long. To give you an idea of charm size, the central fish charm is about 1 1/2" long without bale. I require payment through Pay Pal within 3 days of the sale. As you will see bubbles which are a natural occurrence in the enameling process of this art form. There is no loss that I can ascertain, aside from the crack that is shown in photo#6 and again in# 10. The metal is in wonderful shape. No snags or loose ends. A dealer once told me all fine cloisonne is made with 18kt gold for the design. So how you gonna test that? Looks like it could be. The inside of the bracelet is brass I think. There are three holes which I am guessing aid in the process of creation. This bracelet was made for a princess. You should have it. Measurements are 2.50" diameter across and 1.25" wide. Most items I offer are ... moreat a minimum of 30 years old and most are more like 50-100 years and are going to maybe have a frayed end or some scuffs or something pertaining to age. This is a beautiful Vintage/Antique Chinese Sterling Silver Coral and Turquoise Cuff Filigree Bracelet. There is a Cabochon set Coral stone in the center with a Turquoise Cabochon set stone on each side. All are surrounded by intricate filigree Etruscan details. The front is 1 1/4" wide and it is 1/2" wide at the ends. The inside measures 2 1/2" side to side and 2" front to back with a 1 1/4" opening in back. It weighs 40.5 grams. It's stamped"Silver China" but I also had it tested and it is sterling silver. I did not clean this piece. Antique Bracelet Wow! This auction is for a great and VERY rare antique solid gold bracelet. I found this bracelet is a very old Chinese trunk in a local Chinese families home. And the family immigrated here back in the 1910s. Looks like it hasn’t been touched since then and there was a note with it that indicated it was from their great, great grandma which would date it to the early 1800s(the note was written in the 1910s and it was in Chinese so I had to have it translated) The bracelet has a very primitive design with a ribbed design on the front and a really neat coiled gold spring feature at the back which allows you to adjust it slightly and get it on more easily. One of those springs is broken off but could easily be fixed. There are also some minor dents on the interior where it was bent to aggressively, but that’s what you’d expect ... morefrom a 200 year old bracelet. The bracelet tests at OVER 22K solid gold and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was 23K or24K. VERY soft and rather heavy for it’s size. Total weight is 16.4 grams and there are no markings.
