Very Old Pure Agate Stained Tibetan Dzi Beads: 9 Bead Bracelet Strand of Mixed 2-Eyes 3-Eyes& 6-Eyes Old very aged pure agate Tibetan Dzi beads. 9 beads in all, a mixed tied strand of 2-eyed, 3-eyed and 6-eyed beads. These beads are not acid etched. They were stained long ago in some fashion and some of their markings[ or eyes] are now barely visible. There is advanced natural"dragon skin" layered scaling occurring in the pure agate. Which is visibly at least several layers deep. I honestly have no idea how old these beads are. I have not cleaned the beads and their ends show various degrees of wear. Some of their ends show accumulated aged"crust" which confirms their advanced age. I have not cleaned that crust. Each bead is slightly different in size. Approximately 26mm long x 18mm wide with a 3-4mm bored opening. ... moreThus they are not mass machined modern era beads, but were individually hand cut from solid pure agate matrix, dating them to at least the 19th century. Beyond that, I do not know. This is a fascinating strand. It looks to have been re-strung from an older longer strand into a shorter length which could be worn as a bracelet. I would have loved to examine that original strand. Which would have had great collector value. I am hoping a jewelry designer will use each large bead as a pendant in a new piece. The beads are each unique and beautiful. Telling a mysterious story of their journey which few could decipher. I make no claims to the exact age of these beads beyond what I have stated in this listing. I do not believe they are modern era reproductions, based upon my own examination.
