Antique English Walnut Tea Caddie
This is a wonderful old tea caddie from the same estate. It is walnut with some type of inlay around keyhole. It is missing a small piece of veneer on the back side. It does not take away from its character. Original nice patina as well as having both lids and yes even the original key. Very hard to find one as nice and complete and original as this. This splendid 19th century dining table features a solid walnut top. Conforming table apron, substantial tapered fluted blocked legs with a fine carved curved stretcher on both ends, fluted tapered blocked center legs with the original casters intact on all the legs. This dining table extends to 10 ft inch 1 long and would accommodate many more leaves but only 3 original leaves come with the table. This dining table opens and closes with ease and is solid and tight. The table measures 29 3/4 inches in height. With a skirt height to the floor of 26 inches, and measures 46 inches wide by 51 3/4 inches long without any leaves in place. This table weighs approximately 110 ... morelbs alone and the additional 3 leaves weigh approximately 15 lbs total. Additional measurements: table with 1 leaf in place 46" X 63 with 2 leaves in place 46" X 74 1/2" with 3 leaves in place 46" X 85" But the table will extend out to 10 ft 1 inch(121 inches) allowing it to accommodate several more leaves if one desires to have additional leaves made for the table. Antique One-Drawer Walnut? Table-c. Mid-Late 1800s?
Offered is this beautiful antique wooden table with one drawer. It stands approx. 30 1/4" high. The top is rectangular. Almost square, with rounded corners and measures approx. 19 1/2" wide by 19 1/4" deep. I believe the table is made of walnut but I am not sure of that. The drawer front is approx. 14 1/2" x 3 1/2" It has the original built-in lock which would probably still work but the key has been lost. The latching mechanism still moves up and down to fit into the notch in the frame above the drawer. The table is in very good condition. It has acquired a few minor"dings" over the years and the top has some shallow marks in the wood but these are not very noticeable. There is a line all the way across the top– I am not sure if it is a seam where two pieces of wood were put together to make the top or ... moreif it is an age crack. In any case the top is solid and well-attached. I believe this is a Southern piece made in the mid to late 1800s but I am not absolutely certain. I have this listed as"pickup only" because of what would probably be a very high shipping cost. However. I do not know the exact age of this beautiful piece but it dates to about 1890. This is a unique find as most often the adult or child size versions are found. The youth size is slightly larger than the child size allowing for an older child to use the rocker. This rocker came out of an estate in Cape May almost 20 years ago when I purchased it. I have not attempted to change the coverings it was found with. It could use a good polishing. But I will leave that to the new owner. The rocker is in the Huntzinger style with its beautiful turned arms and stiles. There is no major damage or repairs. For its age. It is in very ... moregood condition overall. Measurements: 37 inches tall from the top spindle to the bottom platform, 15 ½ inch opening for the seat between the arms, and 22 inches wide from the back of the platform to the front. Vintage Ansonia Walnut Mirror "HeppelWhite" Model Project Clock
Circa: 1927. Up for auction is a clock I purchased a few years ago at an antique store. It was one of the first clocks I ever purchased. It is an Ansonia Mirror clock in Walnut with Waltham Watch Company Hands. They came is six models, both Mahogany and Walnut, and this one is called the Hepplewhite. I have always wanted to restore this clock but have always left it as you see it. The clock was transformed into a battery powered clock. It currently works like a charm. You can see in the pictures where the holes are when the transformation of the clock occurred. There is also some scratches that are visible. As well as, some very minor chipping to the wood. I do not guarantee project clocks at all. As a matter of fact these clocks are very popular with watch service people, who collect them, I have been told. It is in as found condition. Finish ... moreoriginal, Mirror, and hands as far as I can tell. If you like mirror clocks, who really doesn't, and you collect Ansonia, this is the clock for you. I own three mirror clocks because I have always loved them. Perfect Holiday present or that winter project that needs very little to be pristine. These look great is small hallways.
