Both have been used but likely in some attic because of better age& better condition as I found them. The one with NO EYE measures 3 inches. This one is known as"OLE BLACK JOE. It retains its chrome Butt Pin. it also has the old fashioned tie line addition. MY Opinion is that this is the sweetest of the two. The one with unbroken Glass Eyes is also known as a Best Ever"OLE BLACK JOE. It also has its chrome pin. There is a most interesting history on these Indiana-Ohio fishing lures. Mr. Carter obtained his patents in about 1919. It is suspected his later"partner" Mr. Dunkleberger, was responsible for including glass eyes into these Antique lures. YOU decide. Pr 1800s Primitive Antique Hand Hewn Wooden Beams - Architectural Salvage
Not identical in size. These two old, hand hewn beams with mortised ends were salvage from a late 1700s/early 1800s building many years ago- and they're heavy! The larger beam measures 6" x 5" x 56" long( 62" when counting the mortised ends) The smaller piece is 5" x 5 1/2" x 54 1/2" long( 58" when counting the mortised ends) Both have all the issues of old wood- please see condition. Architectural Salvage - Antique Treenail - Trunnel Pegs - Hand Carved Wood Nails
14 Antique handmade wood treenails. Some of these are whole but there are a few broken in the bunch. 8 are what I would consider to be in one piece and the rest have a piece broken off the end. These are very rustic with beautiful patina to the wood. They show splitting in some areas and they appear dirty. The longest nail measures 12 3/8" and the shortest piece measures 3 5/8"
