ANTIQUE CIRCA 1910 AMERICAN WALNUT DINING TABLE SPLIT BASE PERFECT LIBRARY STUDY
Here is a special opportunity to own a really fabulous early twentieth century American walnut dining table that has a wonderful story and has been in my family since 1979. My husband. Then"my boyfriend" was working construction for a contractor on Long Island for the summer during college that year and when the two of them dug this old table out of a basement there in Rockville Centre, he was lucky enough to have the opportunity to buy it from the owner. He later paid to have it professionally cleaned up including having the top refinished and having a custom table pad made to protect the top as well. For the next 35 years we used this table as our formal family dining table, the centerpiece when celebrating holidays and special events with our three children and many friends over the years. Now we are ready to let it go, and it ... moreis ready to make a statement and add to the memories in your home or place of business today. The refinished top is gorgeous and shows off the beautiful walnut wood grains which I attempt to show in my series of photographs. The heavy carved edging and the large turned legs on a split base with bun feet really make for a striking presentation. The table pads are well used and a bit tattered at their edges but certainly are a great asset for use under a table cloth to protect the top. As I show on the underside of the table. The mechanism shows this table is designed to spread to a much longer length, perhaps 10-12 feet, if someone were to have leaves remade. This terrific table measures 60 inches long by 45 inches wide. The table stands 30 inches tall. In addition to making a great dining table. This wonderful old walnut table would also work well as a library or study table for home use or perhaps a law office or other professional work environment. This chest features beautiful period geometric and incised carvings with raised panels or burl on the drawer fronts. Dove-tailed ends on the drawers and the original brass pulls. Please read all. This was just purchased out of a local estate. The gentleman was 99 when he passed about 4 months ago. You can look it up on Macomb, IL obituaries his last name was Cross. I was fortunate enough to go to his tag sale and purchased this original Atmos clock shelf along with the clock. The clock is being listed in a seperate listing. It is solid Walnut with the level in the center of it and it is 10.5inches wide 7.5 inches deep and 7.25 inches tall. I have never seen this shelf but according to the daughter who is in her 70's he purchased it with the clock( I do not know if this was made by LeCoultre or not) It was purchased around 1963-4 with the Atmos Clock which is listed seperately. walnut jewellery box In my store for your consideration is this vintage solid wood jewellery box. This wood looks to be walnut and it is stained walnut. The centre opens up with a mirror. Ring keeper 3 rows and an open box in the centre. The sides are hinged and open up to a small box centre and a box underneath that for storage. It opens up on the left and right. The hinges work well and are in good condition. On the bottom a draw opens up that extends across the jewelery box. It is all covered on the inside with red velvet in good condition. It is 15 inches across long and approx.8 inches high 6 inches high. The fittings are brass. There is no name on this case and it looks like it may have been hand made.

They are made of French walnut and have two dovetailed drawers each. Each drawer has a key that works the antique lock and functions as a handle. These collectible SPECIAL tobacco stick"walking sticks" are actually tobacco sticks which has been used for years on a tobacco farm from THE Appalachian Mtns IN Kentucky. They have the same finish as the“antique” sticks. Although more so. These are really unique and SPECIAL. They are made from sawn trees selected for their availability and strength(the kind of wood is anyone's guess) and are approximately 1"x1 1/4"x 51" to 54" Long. They have been recrafted for collection by Hardscrabble Farms. These sticks have been sanded. Shaped, and finished for both beauty and function. The original stick was found in an old tobacco barn in southern Kentucky. They also include a leather wrist strap color of strap may vary and a pointed bottom end where the spear was used to spear the tobacco through much like when in ... moreuse on the farm. This provides authenticity and functionality for walking in the woods. Tobacco was a staple crop in the southern Appalachian mountains for decades and therefore these sticks do represent an important piece of history. Making this stained version quite rare. The corkscrew is full and sharp. You can tell this is an earlier production piece as he has the bladed corkscrew. He does have some stain flaking as seen in the pictures but consistant for his age. Would make a nice addition to any corkscrew collection. Good luck!
