This is a Victorian era(1880's-1890's) bench/stool that is made and used to shine. Repair, etc. shoes. It is solid walnut with the original finish and a very fine patina. This item is in the original found condition with the wear consistent and appropriate for the age and use. There are no known cracks, repairs, missing parts or other damage. The construction is tight and sturdy and it is easily used as a bench or stool. The greenish fabric and gimp is original and in great shape. All of the original tacks for the fabric are intact. The lid hinges are in very good working condition. Once the lid is raised up, the cast iron shoe platform with an attached holder is available for its intended shoe use. There is also ample storage for other related items. The cast iron shoe platform has the raised letters C&M on it. This is a vintage hand-made pendant made of silver. Turquoise shard inlay and the shell of a black walnut. The silver could be coin or sterling; acids aren't that specific unless you're a serious expert. The nut shell slice is authentic, and indicates this is a 50s piece. Walnut shell artisan pieces are being made again, but nut jewelry was popular then and the silver on this isn't anything modern. The turquoise is tiny little shards and some sort of epoxy to hold it in place. The pendant measures 1.25x1.5 inches without the little silver loop at the top. The entire thing is hand-made but alas unsigned. My personal guess is 1950s Navajo tourist piece. It's tarnished and I haven't messed with it. The best way to clean it is to wear it. for sale is a nice antique tilt top pie crust walnut table. the table is well made and works perfectly. it has a nice finish which appears to be original. it sits on a central carved pedestal with three carved legs pegged into the bottom of the central support column. the legs have ball and claw feet which is a great feature. these tables have a multiplicity of uses from serving as a tea table or a pedestal for a large fern. Bust, or whatever. these tables were used mostly as tea tables and could be easily stored having a tilt top. just shove it against the wall and with three legs, there is only one sticking out about 6 inches to step over. anyway, it is 25 inches in diameter and 27.5 inches tall. it is in great condition, it has one little nick out of the top barely noticeable and may have a couple of other little bruises. i really didn't ... moresee anything, but being 100 years old there is bound to be a few minor blemishes. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. good luck.

Walnut Brown Bess Pen
I made several of these Brown Bess desk pens last winter for myself and a few good friends. The pen is about 9-1/2" long and is made out of a variety of materials including: aluminum and brass flat stock and tube. Steel, cotter pins, watch screws, and old bullet cases. This particular pen is carved out of American Walnut and finished with tongue oil. The ramrod is removable and the pipes, trigger guard, and barrel are inletted. A"Pilot" ball point ink cartridge has been lightly super glued in the barrel. The pen is very pleasing to write with and comes in a Basswood shipping crate that I made, and packed in hobby store moss. The spots on the stock in the photos are dust from this moss, which brushes off. POCKET WATCH BOX WALNUT AND BRASS VICTORIAN JEWELLERY DISPLAY
This is for an old original Victorian burr walnut pocket watch box circa 1850. There is a button at the front that releases the lid and inside is a tray for displaying the pocket watch. Under this tray is a metal spring keeping the tray at an angle to show the watch. The wood has nice strong markings and the lid has a brass cartouche in the centre and brass strips around the top edge. That are completely unpolished. It is in good condition with no cracks to the wood, the one side does have a deep scratch and there is a tiny little hole in the lid that is about 2mm deep. Inside the box is worn where it is lined up inside the lid, the blue watermark silk is worn and needs to be replaced to restore this box. Mid 1800s Antique Walnut Ogee Picture Frame 14" x 18"
Antique solid walnut(not veneer) ogee picture frame from the mid 1800s. The frame fits an approx 14 1/4 x 18 1/8 inch print or painting. Its exterior dimensions are approx 17 1/4 x 18 1/8 inches and it is 1 3/8 inches high. This frame has a 1/2 inch lip instead of the 1/4 inch lip that most picture frames have. The frame has been restored. Including refinishing of the walnut, and is in very good condition. It has a few dings as typically seen on frames of this age. The dark areas on the left side of the frame are shallow gouges. The frame is being shipped without glass.

This is vintage 1940's S eth T homas shelf table top clock. Model B axter 2- E. Compa ct small cab inet- measures 7 1/2" long by 4 1/ 4" hig h and 2 1/ 4" wide and is walnut with brass. This c lock does work and ha s normal wear on wood- some small nicks and scuffs on edges ~ L OOK at ALL pictures. Front lens cover has a few tiny scratches and scu ffs, and ma ybe pin mark/nicks on plastic lens that are hardly noticeable- This c lassic clock is more than 60 y ears old so it does have normal scratches and scuffs throughout. Antique Waltham 8 Day Clock Walnut Oval Face Dresser Mirror Style
This clock is Waltham. With walnut case. The oval face is glass. Clock measures 14 x 12" It is wind-up and it does run. 1888 is marked on the bottom and I believe that is the year made. Also 1238. Which is probably model number. As to condition. There is a piece of wood about 1" long missing to the left top of face. At the very bottom, there is a bit of scuffing. All of this you should be able to see in enlarged pictures. Otherwise this is in remarkable shape for age. It is gorgeous and it will set on my mantle till sold! Black "Loveleigh" Folk Art Dolls Walnut Head Preacher & Old Black Joe Americana
Two Black Americana folk-art Walnut Head dolls Here are 2 very nice not labeled but all the tell tail signs of being Loveleigh painted black walnut head dolls. One is an 11" tall"Old Black Joe" with a bag cotton of cotton slung over his shoulders. a brown felt hat to shade his head and a walking stick. The other doll is a 12" The Preacher" with a Bible under his arm. And a big Lincoln type top hat. The dolls appear to have been made by the same craftperson and there is a striking use of various colors and types of cloth, including what appears and feels to be leather for the trim of the coat. Loveleigh Novelty dolls were mostly made in Grantsville Georgia from 1924 to about 1954 by Itura Rosalein Colly Leigh. These dolls are striking folk art pieces. The clothing is made of remnants from other clothing. And the armatures ... moreare wrapped and padded underneath the clothes. The details are amazing. The Cotton pick en Old Black Joe doll as they were called, has unique straps for his suspenders and a different fabric for his cotton sack. The Preacher is holding a bible, that appears that its been used to preach a few sermons, and is labeled Bible on both sides of the book. They both have amazingly well crafted clothes and unique expressions on their walnut heads. Since there are no stickers on these dolls. I can only guess they are Loveleigh by their design and style. But can't guarantee it as I have seen research that other artist during that time period were making these kind of"slice of American Life" of African Americans in the south. But the Loveleigh always showed the characters with dignity and not as caracatures. These primitive representations are meant to be respectful and articulate a certain lifestyle that most people might not have been used to amid all the derogatory characterizations taking place in America during the mid century. These dolls were designed to expose Northerners heading south to Florida with a representation of rural southern life for African Americans.

ANTIQUE 19th CENTURY VICTORIAN CARVED WALUT WOOD CREST or FURNITURE PEDIMENT PARTS Two beautiful. Old, Victorian Wood Pieces that go together nicely, and form a crest, or just to use as parts. They are carved from Walnut with very ornate carved flowers and leaves that are carved all the way through. They both have a scalloped top and plain back. This was probably part of a settee or large chair, perhaps a chaise lounge, because it has holes where upholstery tacks were(see photos) Also, on each end there are holes for dowels(the photos show both pieces put together like an arch way(they would have to be doweled again or glued to stay this way) These beautiful pieces of wood each measure approximately 13 1/2" high x 12" across. So, together, they would measure about 24" across. The wood is about 1 3/16" thick. This very ... moredecorative wood is in good condition but would need some refinishing or painting and a little restoration where the dowel holes and upholstery tack holes are. This is my third Scandinavian spinning wheel restoration and I have a growing respect for these wheels and their makers. They are wonderfully designed and their craftsmanship in quite singular. My last Scandinavian wheel was built in Norway and I believe this wheel probably came from Norway as well. The fact that the wheel was crafted in Walnut suggests that it was made for a wealthy client or perhaps for a family member of the maker. The turnings and finials on this wheel are exceptional. As you can see, especially the maidens and the wheel support uprights. The drive wheel and the flyer/bobbin spin on“pin and socket” contacts.
