GILBERT DIO PARLOR CLOCK WALNUT WOOD RUNNING CONDITION.
This is a nice Gilbert Dio parlor clock. It is running well even without a service. Which all antique clocks should have. It appears to be original in every way except for the little wooden support in the back. which is usually missing) It has a nice glass featuring water birds and a nickel plated metal dial pan and pendulum center reflector. Amazingly, the paper tablet is still attached to the back. The finish is acceptable in my eyes, but not in pristine condition. You won't look as good after 125 years! The gong rings strong and clear. This would make a nice addition to your mantle or collection. I will include a winding key.

Top looks like it was once painted. Does have several motor and tool related holes. A back panel is missing. Easily replaced through local hardware plywood. Hole in the back behind the top right side drawer. It's Black Walnut. not many like this and well worth the restoration. 39 inches wide by 19 1/2 inches deep and 38 inches tall. George Washington Antique Portrait Print 2nd half 19th Century Oval Walnut Frame
This print of George Washington. In color, is in very good condition, the back with orignal Annesley& Vint label has never been removed, in a very nice hardwood oval frame, appears to be walnut, with original finish and a gold liner. This print is possibly a detail from the Gilbert Stuart Lansdowne Portrait of George Washington painted in 1796, three years before Washington's death in 1799, or possibly the Dodge portrait from the mid 1800s. Washington is shown with a white stock or cravat and black jacket or coat, and facing to the viewer's left. We leave this to the collectors to determine which portrait this print represents. This has no tears, no water stains, no browning. In As Found condition, with no cleaning or alteration, glass carefully cleaned only. Frame measures app 13-3/4" long by 11-1/2" wide by app 1-1/2" ... moredeep. Print measures 9-1/4" long by 7-1/4" wide Weighs 1 pound 6.4 ounces. Ships at 3 pounds, carefully wrapped to protect. James Vint joined Richard Annesley in 1856 according to"State of New York: Embracing Historical. Descriptive, and Statistical" by Kollock, I do not find a reference for the store location before 1870, perhaps the original location beginning with Annesley's father in 1802. Up for bid is an antique wood and brass box. I'm not an expert but from what I could gather it appears to date from the 17th or 18th Century. It may have been used as a ship captain's chest or strong box or a writing/Bible box. It has a number of internal compartments including one that locked. There is also one that looks like it would have held pen quills. The wood is quite dark and very hard and dense and the brass is hand wrought. Danish modern style walnut Carl Bissman designed and crafted nightstand in excellent condition. Purchased recently here in the Ozarks for a friend who lives in a Bissman-built home and needed a chest of drawers but does not have room for the nightstand and twin beds(also listed) Once in a while in my antique travels. I see a coffee table but NEVER have seen these pieces and rarely in such great condition. We suspect they were purchased locally and remained in the area with the original owner(Bissman was made here in Springfield) and were perhaps in a guest room all these years as there is so little evidence of wear. The condition is excellent with only minute scratches on the surface. Not noticeable on the nightstand. Stamped in gold Bissman walnut on the inside drawer. There are 41 great turned balusters each measuring 29 to 30 inches tall by almost 2 inches square at the base. Railings measure 101. 71 and 30 long. They are 4 wide. The newel post has turnings and an 8 sided shaft. It measures 40.75 tall including the cap by 6.75 square at the base. It is notched at the base. Your bid buys the lot.
