Description This is a great set of doors that were salvaged from a Philadelphia. PA Victorian home. They are made of walnut. The fronts have faux grain paint and the backs are painted white. The fronts are very ornate. The tops have panels of distorted florentine glass. Each door has a single raised panel at the bottom. Within each panel are 4 pyramid shaped panels with wooded buttons in the middle of each. There are also fluted details on the uprights. The backs are not as ornate and have a raised panel at the bottom. Most of the hardware needs replacing. The ornate slide bolts are intact. They measure 45 inches wide together. 89.75 tall, and are 2 inches thick. Overall they are in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good cleaning. Welcome to my auction! I am proud to be offering for your consideration this antique Victorian Walnut Gentlemans Chest circa 1870. This wonderful big tall chest was recently picked from an old Boston area home and is 100% ORIGINAL and in near mint shape! This piece has six drawers. The drawers are all in good condition and have early hand cut dovetails. The drawer fronts are decorated with two raised burled walnut panels each and all six original drawer locks are still present. The original brass and wood drawer pulls are a rare smaller version of the victorian tear drop pulls. Flanking the drawers are beautiful vertical burled columns. This chest is deeper and larger than most, heavier too! It is of great quality and retains a very nice original finish. The top is beautiful, originally had a wooden back splash or gallery and has four holes(see ... morephotos) The sides have four panels, the back boards are all original as well. Antique French Breton walnut kitchen cupboard dresser A beautiful antique Breton dresser in dark walnut. Circa 1860. As you can see this is profusely carved piece with flower and leaf detailing and lots of turned spindles. This is a two piece dresser with two cupboard doors to the base with two drawers above. The upper section is a double door food cupboard with single shelf to the interior. The pierced sections have been later backed with yellow fabric to provide a pleasing contrast- we can remove this if preferred. A stunning piece providing useful storage in any room. Condition: I would describe this as being in good order for its age with minor marks. One turned acorn is missing. The key does not work. Mid Century Walnut Trundle Sofa Bed - RARE FIND!
This couch has been used. Both as a sofa and as a guest bed. It is as I purchased it years ago. The fabric is wide whale striped yellow on top and the bottom cushion is an avocado green with yellow and brown stripes. There are rubs and scrapes on the wood front, arms and legs. Apparently, prior to my ownership it was allowed to get wet and dry without anyone wiping up the water. It has left white spots on several places. The cushions both have stains from the wired bed springs, but not that noticeable. This is a piece of furniture that has been loved and cared for(during my ownership) and I know that someone who really appreciates the Danish Modern style furniture will continue with that same pride of ownership. I have not refinished the wood because I wanted to preserve the integrity of the piece. The cushions did have covers to save wear ... moreand tear. The dimensions of the couch are: 76" Long 32.5" Deep(front to back) 25" High( floor to top of wood back support) I have been advised this design can be attributed to Peter Hvidt. I can not confirm what kind the wood is but it looks just like walnut and the finish like a medium walnut in color/warmth/darkness. The wood grain in each of the bowls is AMAZING. Offered is an example of a c. 1880 walnut parlor clock made by the E. Ingraham Company of Bristol. Connecticut for Boyce Brothers of Washington Street, Boston, MA. It was common practice for large stores to have their label pasted on the back of a clock made by one of the major Connecticut manufacturers. The movement is marked Ingraham and in perfect condition. All the components are typical of Ingraham such as the hands glass pattern and the dial pan. The clock strikes the hours on a gong as is typical of this period. The clock 22&1/2" in height and 14" at the base. The dial diameter is 5" Vintage key is included.Any questions please ask.

About Us My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors. Staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. I found and purchased all of the things that I needed for my project and lots of extra treasures which I eventually resold. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse.

Later friction among various shareholders resulted in the brothers leaving the company in the late 1920s, and founding ... moreMoe Brothers Manufacturing. In 1938. The company relocated to Fort Atkinson. Wisconsin. After the city agreed to sell land– adjacent to an all-important railroad line– to the company for one dollar. Moreover, the city built a modern plant(at 700 Oak Street) With the understanding that the company would pay rent of $1,800 for twenty years. The company was able to hire one hundred employees(no small figure in the Depression) and this increased to one hundred fifty two years later. In 1946, the company was able to pay off the bonds used to finance the Moe plant. However. As was common, the company struggled to survive after the war years(when they made grenades, bazooka and bullet shells, anti-tank mines, and other military equipment) In 1948, Lee B. Thomas stepped in to save the company. In 1953, the corporation name was changed to Thomas Industries, although the lighting fixtures still carried the Moe Light brand label, and were marketed as such. By 1963. Thomas was the largest employer in Fort Atkinson with 540 employees and sales of $41.000,000. The Fort Atkinson plant was closed in 1986.
