There is a leaf that hangs on each side each measuring 15 1/4" Each leaf is held up by a wooden swing arm that folds out from the center of the table. Table is on a 20 x 22" pedestal base with metal wheels. When leaves are closed. The top measures 40" x 22 1/4" actually 23 3/4" with the edges of the leaves) or 40" x 52 3/4" when open. The table is in excellent condition with only a small chip on the base near the floor and a small crack underneath the bottom of the pedestal base. I was unable to locate any manufacture or date on the furniture other than on the bottom of the chairs which most likely was a re-upholster tag. Although considered common furniture in the 1920s-30s it is an excellent example of detail and craftsmanship. This type of furniture was made by many different manufacturers and sold by many different stores; so finding an exact manufacturer might not be possible. The more common furniture usually was not stamped by any manufacturer. Possibly made from bass wood or common wood. Would like to sell as a group. But could be used as an Is land Serving CART in a kitchen as well. There are small wooden kno bs on the side. Probably to h ang things on them. It is made in a rather heavy Wood and is very rusti c and sturdy. It has been probably hand-made. This is an amazing. Spectacular piece as we can't really find anymore. Great Vintage condition. However, the screws will need to be re-tightened or maybe changed if necessary, the casters will need to be oiled, because they squeak a little, and if you want a perfect clean wood, it will maybe need to be sanded better than I did it myself. On the side. The added tool holder is partly damaged(see last photo) It can ... morebe removed if you don't want to keep it. The electrical part has not been checked. So I have no idea if it and what is working or not. It is maybe for a small light on the side, and the bulb would be missing? I am not really sure, I just didn't want to take the risk to damage my own electricity by p lugging this in the case it wou ldn't be working properly. If you d on't want it. You can just remove it as well. But the overall condition is great. The piece is ready to be used as is. It i s a very useful and versatile piece. For now. 1930's Duncan Phyfe Style Drop Leaf Table and 4 Chairs
This is a nice old Dinette Set. The chairs and table are very sturdy and solid. The drop leaves work excellent. I recovered one of the chairs. The other 3 still have the original fabric. It's extremely easy to replace the chair fabric, remove 4 screws, wrap fabric of your choice around the seat and staple it, then replace the seat with the 4 screws, pretty simple. The Table top could use refinishing, it does have some light scratches and a little paint splatter. These tables are perfect if you need alot of table space or you can drop the sides so they take up very little space when you don't need as much table space. Up for sale is a very nice Duncan Phyfe Style 3 Pedestal Drop Leaf Table and 4 chair set. The set also includes the top pad set to protect the table. The table has 6 claw feet. There is a narrow gouge in the table top on one of the drop leafs. The table has a beautiful patina. The table measures 29" tall. 42" wide, 56" long when opened and 25" when the leaves are down.
