This antique vintage traditional 5 decade very large and long probably waist worn over 61in long most likely handmade rosary comes from Germany but I am not sure if it was made in Germany. It probably dates around 1930s. Its colorfully grained round wooden beads are about 1 in wide and long. They are connected with a white robe. This is for a beautiful set of large French silver and amethyst glass Rosary beads. The purple beads are all faceted and joined with silver links. The silver cross is ornate with a pierced back and there is a nice pierced silver plaque at the union of the circular necklace and the beads that fall down. There are six beads mounted with silver tops and bottoms and these separate the five rows of ten beads. The silver cross and silver joiner are stamped with French silver marks and the chain is intact and in excellent condition. There is one bead that is chipped and is missing half of the glass but all the others look in excellent condition with just light wear. The rosaries are very large and measure 26" long when laid flat. The cross is 48mm(2" long by 30mm(1.25" across and each of the beads are 10mm(0.3" in diameter. This old rosary.Possibly Victorian, is so beautiful. Feels wonderful to the touch and has a nice weight to it. Each bead measures 3/8 of an inch. The entire rosary measures 21 1/2 inch. The centerpiece has a profile of Jesus with a halo surrounding his head. The reverse side has Madonna and Child. The Corpus and the Crucifix seem to be in great shape. Each bead is intricately carved around with unusual design. Based on the absence of a center medal. This is probably from the mid-1800s. The Ave beads are about 8mm in size and the Pater beads are bigger at around 20mm. The beads are mounted on silver pins with twisted tri-lobe chain separating the decades. Antique Brass& Pink Tinted Glass Catholic Rosary Signed"Roma" Italy On Back of Cross. This is such a beautiful piece with many prayers heard and answered. A fascinating story in every glass bead. I believe age has turned the beads a pretty pink. And some have the colors of the patina peeking through. I'm uncertain of the metal on the cross, but it looks like it could be either sterling or a mixed metal alloy. It's a beautiful piece of history regardless. And I'd like to thank you for taking a look.

You are receiving 8 rosaries. There are several pics. Please exam for condition. All are in great condition for age with the exception of the clear crystal rosary. It is missing some beads and the cross. I am not an expert just a hobbyist that likes vintage religious items and jewelry.
