The owner informed me that it is an older item probably fro the late forties early fifties. the medallion is sterling silver and he said it is a prayer to get days off in purgatory. The back says" Jesus in the blessed sacrament have mercy on us 300 days indulgence each time. he was unsure of the metal in the medalion so i took it to Alvins Jewelers in the mall and they verified it as sterling.
