Beautiful Fenton Mulberry Color Greek Column Style Ruffled Vase
This is a nice Fenton Mulberry Color Vase. I would call the vase a Greek Column design. Although I don't know what the Factory Name of it might be. Mulberry is one of Fenton's, most sought after colors. This vase shades from Blue/Purple on the bottom, to a Purpleish Red to a strong Raspberry Red on the top. The vase Stand Approx 7 1/2" tall and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or damage. There is a flaw within the glass on one of the columns, not distractingly obvious but it is there. This is inside the glass and is caused from the manufacture of the vase. You can see it clearly in the last picture(magnified) Don't miss your chance to add this beautiful vase to your collection. Classic Wedgwood Black Basalt Vase. Top and bottom flaring. Exquisite Greek scenes. Height is 8 inches, top width is 7 inches. Weight is 3.2 pounds. There are similar vases to this one but few in this height. The original design is two centuries old but, based on separation of"Wedgwood" and"Made in England" in sans serif, the bowl would date as early as 1908 and possibly 1929. A Historical Staffordshire Pearlware Dark Blue Transferware Tea Bowl circa 1830 ~ Greek Vase& Flowers ~ About 2 1/2" high ~ shown enlarged above for detail A lovely dark blue transferware handle-less tea bowl or cup printed on two sides with a squashed form Greek vase with a scene of three characters inside a latticed vignette with large flowers to the sides and inside the bowl. It is in excellent condition. The rim has some very fine losses along the rim above the vase(see pic above-the other side is fine) and seen below, along the rim above the flowers. There are two very fine hairlines that barely show only on the inside and cannot be felt on the outside. Shown below with the saucer I've listed separately. An attractive ancient Greek South Italian Xenon ware sessile Kantharos. Dating to approximately 350- 300 B.C. The Kantharos with elliptical handles. Squat foot, wide body and slightly flaring mouth, decorated circumferentially with an olive leaf trail. Xenon is a native Italic art. Named after a vase now in Frankfurt, which bears the inscription"XENON" These native potters seem to have been influenced by mainland Greek ceramic artists of the 5th Century B.C. Antique Chalkware Plaster Metal Vase in Relief Roman Greek Bacchus Dionysus Wine
This is a stunning. Large antique chalkware vase possibly dating from the late 1800's. It features reveling Roman or Greek figures in deep relief holding wine jugs. Staffs or fans, possibly celebrating a wedding. It measures 11 1/4” high by 6” across. The inside appears to be metal. There are many areas where the glaze or paint is crackled. Scratched or worn down with the chalk showing through. There are small places where a bit of chalk is missing. Please note that old chalkware is strictly decorative and not designed to be wet, washed nor to hold water any longer. It deserves the TLC a little filler, colored pens or paints could provide. This vase weighs 6 pounds itself and will be packaged double boxed.

Achilles and Penthesileia- Exekias- God Dionysos The original dating to ca 540-530BC is in the British Museum. It is one of the masterpieces of the Athenian Exekias who together with the Amasis Painter. Pioneered the black-figure technique in the second half of the 6th century BC. Penthesileia, the Amazon Queen, brough her Amazon warriors to help the Trojans to defend their city, following the death of Hektor at the hands of Achilles. She too was killed by Achilles. Exekias chose to depict the moment when Achilles is on the point of killing Penthesileia. His face is masked and still protected by his helmet. On the reverse, Dionysos, god of wine and theatre, is shown with his son Oinopion.
