This amazing item features scrolled arms aswell as deeply and very detailed floral carvings all along the frame including the wonderful torch and flame carvings at the top. The form of this item is rare and breathtaking and the quality of construction and detail are something you will not find in todays furniture. This piece is in very nice antique condition still being very structurally sound and sturdy. The upholstery is clean for the most part with a few splatter stains on the matching pillows and upholstery here and there. There is a darker spot at the base along the front that will probably clean up a bit. The frame itself is something to behold and if you are even looking for a settee to reupholster with your own beautiful material then look no further. There is a minor age appropriate hairline crack to the wood at the back on the bottom but this does not take away from the sturdiness nor the beauty of this wonderful and unique item. I can't explain how beautiful this piece really is so I will let the pictures speak for themselves. This item measures approx 44"w x 36"h x 32"d. It can be pulled off and the original green velvet would be exposed. I don't know where the green braid is. However. I believe all the pieces should be re-upholstered anyway.
