This Victorian era Art Nouveau fixture features Fleur-di-Lis and rosettes( I think) and is made of what I believe to be brass(but could be bronze) Structurally it is in very good shape overall for its age. There are no cracks or dents to the metal and shows only minimal surface wear. The paint enameling is in good shape as well. Beautiful empire chest of drawers for sale. I believe this piece is made of cherry and it has stunning flame mahogany veneer on the front of the large four drawers. The smaller glove box drawers have had new locks put on them with keys. The other drawers have the original locks. All of the drawers have had repairs made to them so that they open and close easily. The backsplash is not original to the piece but was added some time ago. It is made of cherry to match the rest of the piece. This is a gorgeous piece of furniture. Hard to find, triple-mirrored dressing table, includes 2 drawers and mirrors that swing in on each side. Drawers work fine, have dove tailed joints. Mirrors in good condition. Style of this vanity has influences of Mission with the straight lines, and also Empire with the curved scrolled front legs, typical of a late 19th century transitional piece. Regarding wood color, it is a medium oak. Some dark areas are shadows and white areas are reflections. As you can see this is a wonderful piece and could be used in many places in a home. BEAUTIFUL Empire 5 Drawer Dresser or Chest with Burl Walnut Veneer
Very nice Empire 5-drawer dresser or chest with burl walnut veneer. This piece is solid. Clean and tight. Drawers are made of single-board, poplar(the grain in some boards is curly) with hand-planed bottoms,and handmade dovetail joints, Each drawer has a pair of turned, solid wood knobs. Top pair of drawers are large and deep with beautifully crafted ogee faces. Drawers do not stick at all and operate smoothly. Overall dimensions of piece are 43 inches wide by 21-3/8 inches deep by 44-3/4 inches tall. There is a charred spot on the top where a kerosene lamp tipped over burned the wood. There are a few small knicks on the edge of the veneer and has been repaired on one drawer face(see photos) Local pick up only.

And Napoleonic"N" emblem on opposite side, plus Greco-Roman mask handles. Condition is very good. There is a small crack visible on the inside at the base of one vase, and two short hairlines visible on the exterior. There is a shallow chip about one inch long, along the underside of the lip of one vase, which is only partially visible from above. There are a couple firing cracks under gilding, and one of the metal stems appears to have been replaced. There is rubbing loss to the gilding on one mask, and very slight variation to the gilding color on one handle, suggesting ... morethis area may have been restored and regilt. French Morroco Empire Cherifien 50 Centimes Coin 1921 or 1926 5 point star
This coin was made during the Reign of Yusuf which was from 1912 to 1927 AD. There is no date on it but the 50 centimes were minted in 1921 and 1926. It was one of the first coins to feature the 5 pointed star as opposed to the 6 point Star of David. We never clean any of the coins we get from auction. So it may clean up a bit too! UNUSUAL& FINE 19thC MEISSEN PORCELAIN BOTANICAL FLOWERS EMPIRE SHAPED CUP c1850 A very fine mid nineteenth century Meissen(1 st quality) porcelain cup of an Empire shape c1850-60. The cup of an Empire shaped form finely painted with flowers and accompanying foliage in bright polychrome enamel predominantly green. The cup with cursive swan neck handle with leafy acanthus moulded terminals accented in bright gilt throughout as shown. The cup stands 3 ¾ inches tall and has the Meissen factory blue underglaze crossed swords as shown accompanied by an incised numeral. The item is in perfect condition with no damage whatsoever(gilding is excellent with a few tiny/ minute traces of wear on upper rim, outer edge foot ring)

The leather writing surface has been hand dyed and highlighted with fabulous hand tooled gold leaf decoration. This desk was made from superb quality solid mahogany. The drawers have hand cut dovetails and the drawer linings are also of solid mahogany. It has a central locking system which is quite rare in antique desks. You only need to close the top centre drawer to automatically lock all the other drawers, so you can then lock the whole desk using only one key. It is smothered in fabulous ormolu mounts.
