The house seen next door could be the parsonage. The card is postally used on May 8, 1909 from Beatrice, NE. There is wear and chipping of top layer of the corner on upper left. Lower left has top piece of paper missing from the corner. Chipping along bottom edge and into picture. Lower right corner has some wear and chipping. Upper right corner has top layer of paper missing. Wear and chipping across top of card. Heavy darkening and foxing due to age. Up for auction is this vintage MasterCrafters Model 560 Motion-Style Church with Bell Ringer Clock that was found in an estate auction and made in the USA. The clock lights up. But the clock and ringer appear to be"locked up" as I can hear a very slight buzzing but nothing moves. I'm not sure if there used to be a plastic clock cover, but it is not there and the cross on top is just sitting in the hole and needs to be glued(will not be attached for shipping purposes) Needs some cleaning and can hopefully be repaired or possibly used for parts on another piece. For sale we have an amazing antique bronze bell. It is made by Meneely Bell Co. Troy N.Y. The craftsmanship on this bell is amazing. The stand is extremely detailed with a great patina. I believe the bell was either used on a ship or as some type of sailor memorial because the top of the bracket looks like breaking waves. The nut on the top of the bell looks like it was exposed to saltwater for quite some time. It is clear by the detail of the bell and the extra time spent to create the design on the stand that this bell was meant to be displayed and is something very special. If you look at photo 5 you will see some writing on the base but I cannot read what it says. The bell is in great condition with no cracks and has a great tone. The base of the bell is 17" wide. The height is about 13" The base is 29" from end to end ... moreand the overall height is 28" This bell is an amazing piece of history. I am starting this auction at 99 cents with no reserve. Vintage Cast Iron Rooster Farm, Dinner, Church bell
Up for bids is this vintage cast iron rooster bell. The mounting plate measures 12 1/2 inches high and 2 1/2" inches wide at the center, the arm that holds the bell is 7 1/2" inches long, the bell measures 4 3/4" of an inch across at the bottom with the rooster measuring 5 3/8" high and 4 5/8" wide. Antique Mennonite Amish Made Wood Floral School House Church Dinner Farm Bell
This is one of the coolest items I have for sale! An Antique Mennonite or Amish Made Wood Burnt House School Church Dinner Farm Bell- 18 1/2" tall x 10" wide x 4 5/8" deep Wood"House" is Etched with a Hand Drawn Floral Design that is Wood Burnt into the wood. Bell is about 2" tall x 2 5/8" across diam. on bottom. Clapper intact and the bell has a nice. Clear ring. This is an Amish estate find in well used condition. This item came from the farm estate sale auction of a well known Kansas Amish farmer. Preacher and author. I do not know if this bell was used on a school house(it looks like it may have been) or as a home/farm and home-based church bell. The wood house the bell is in is in good shape, though it is quite weathered. It has a wood burned floral decoration on it that is hand drawn. There are also ... morespecs of white paint on it, as it appears it got paint splattered on it a bit while the building it was mounted on was painted. There is a hole in the back to hang the bell house. The bell rings clear. I do not know for sure if it is a brass bell as the metal has quite a lot of patina to it. There is a crack in the wood here and there,as I said the house is weathered a bit. The most noticeable crack is on the front on the bottom and another on the right side of the roof of the bell house. This item is larger than most items I usually sell and weighs more than 2 lbs without any packaging material. It will require a box larger than the#7 USPS Priority Mail box, but will still ship via priority mail. Dutch Angel Brass? Cast Iron? Bell VOCEM-MEAM-AUDI QUI-ME-TANGIT Church School
Hello. We have this lovely Antique Dutch Embossed Bell. It measures 8.5" tall to the top of the fitting ring(that attaches to bracket) and 5" across the base of the bottom, and about 14" circumference around the middle. It weighs 6 lbs unpacked. We are having a bit of a conflict as to whether it is cast iron, pot metal, or severely rusted brass. 3 of out 4 people here think it is cast iron. I am sorry I cannot actually tell you which metal it is. It is severely rusted though. It has what looks like embossed Dutch soliders boys with a sword, and then some type of coat of arms type symbols across the bottom. Parts of this are melted and blurred by wear. Across the top reads: Vocem Meam Audi Qui Me Tangit(Latin, transalation: To Who Touches Me Hears My Voice" It rings loudly and clearly when the chain is pulled. Seems it ... morewas mounted outside somewhere perhaps on a beach with the way the metal has worn. It has a very Gothic/Church'ish feel to it, what with this Angel with his posturing, protecting wide spread wings over the bell out in front. Comes with wall mount bracket that uses two screws.
