For your consideration we are offering you this Vintage religious ceremonial brass Chalice. This Chalice was made by Decorative Crafts Inc. Handcrafted from India. This Chalice is very heavy. The Chalice alone weighs in at about 26 ounces! That's going to be, a pound and 10 ounces. It has the matching lid or cover. The lid weighs in at just over 7 ounces. So with the lid placed atop the Chalice, in its displayed state, this Chalice and cover weighs in at over 2 pounds. This chalice is very large and commands respect. The Chalice itself without the lid, is just at six and a quarter inches tall. With the lid, you're at 10 and a quarter inches tall. The rim of the Chalice or the"mouth" of the cup is 4 inches in diameter. The square base that the Chalice rests upon, is three and an eighth inches square. This is a very large, ... morebold brass Chalice. This beautiful piece of Christian history was acquired from an estate sale of an elderly woman that boarded Nuns. That is as much of the history as I know of this beautiful piece. The Chalice is in remarkable condition for its age. There is a tag on the bottom that reads, Decorative Crafts Inc. Handcrafted Imports" and then it is numbered, with a ballpoint pen, 3555" The Chalice is well constructed. Holy Communion Wine Goblet Cup Chalice Silver Tone Catholic Mass
Up for auction is this wine goblet for communion during the Catholic Mass. I can't find a mark anywhere. It is heavy 11.42 ounces(323.8 grams) I don't believe it is sterling because of the weight. But the medal is not pitted, or damaged. Inside the cup is gold plated. The goblet measures 7" T x 31/2" wide on bottom cup 2 1/2" in dia. there is a cross on the bottom part of the goblet.
