This is a quite superb wooden mahogany pediment of which during our research we have been informed it dates from the early period of the 19th century. Dates about c1820. Probably of english origin. Certainly a wonderful mahogany pediment with the circular recess centrally. Other carvings to either side of with leaves. Has a mount to the rear at the base. Has an overall height of about 5inches. Overall max length of about 12inches. Max depth to the bottom of about 2.5inches with the depth of the top of about 1inch.
