This attractive card of a Peckham Saratoga Stove is larger than average and inn good overall condition. This is one of the few trade cards that had a front image that is split into two parts. In this case it has a pleasant landscape. Presumably of the famed Saratoga resort area. The bottom is of the stove being advertised. It looks quite fancy. On the back there is the name of the dealer from Morris, New York. The back has a list of all the physical pluses to the stove including nickel parts, tinned lined doors and the best approved shape for efficiently burning coal and wood. A card exactly the same, of unknown condition recently sold for $9.99 and I am selling it for $5.00

Antique Home Comfort Coal / Wood Cook Stove
Nice early 1900's Home Comfort cookstove. I bought it out of a hunting cabin years ago and until recently cooked on it and heated a portion of our house with it. I replaced several of the firebox liners(available from Lehman's. Kidron Ohio) Epoxy matrix repaired one warming oven door hinge, and installed a stainless steel liner to the oven. The hot water tank is presently located on the left side of the stove and the copper liner is intact with no holes but there is rust along the bottom lip of the tank that supports the liner. I didn't hesitate to burn coal in this stove but as with any antique appliance, the new owner will do so at their own risk. All in all, I think it is in better shape than most of the similar stoves on eBay and that there are years of service left in this beauty. This is one wonderful tent for year round camping and it excels at cold weather camping. If you aren't familiar with the Kifaru brand let me tell you that they make top notch gear. They were Mountainsmith at one time but branched off from that. This is a very roomy tent. It is lightweight and easy to set up. It is very roomy. Even with four campers sleeping in it. What makes it great for cold weather id the compact wood burning stove that comes with it. It collapses down into an easy to carry black heavy duty canvas pack with separate pockets for individual components. The stove rocks! It puts out a lot of heat, like cherry red glow kind of head and you can cook soup or stew on top of it or just heat water for coffee and tea. It may sound weird but it works better camping in snow without the floor. I was skeptical about that when I queried Kifaru on that subject but they said it works great like that, and it does! You are NOT sitting in slush, just snow. If the tent had a floor all the snow on your clothes and gear would puddle on the tent floor and you'd be miserable. This system works remarkably well, I and my camping buddies were very impressed by it. I used this on a winter trip to the Presidential Range. Offered is a cast iron stove eye lifter and shaker wrench tool. These were used to lift the eyes. Or lids on old cook and heating stoves. This piece is unmarked so I am unable to connect it with a particular maker or era. It has fairly ornate decoration indicating that it may have belonged to a fancier parlor stove. It is obviously an older piece. The lifter is about 9-1/2 inches long and weighs nearly 8 ounces. I can't find the slightest damage beyond light use marks and some surface roughness. Likely from the original casting. The end of lifting lug is about 3/4 by 5/8 by 1/8 inches, and is thumbnail-shaped. These can sometimes be ground a bit to fit a particular eye. What I'm calling a shaker wrench on the opposite end may is a sort of lugged affair. I'm not sure exactly how it works. Antique Japanese wood and copper Habchi with copper stove and teapot
You are bidding on great old Antique Japanese wood and copper Hibachi. The inside if the hibachi has copper lining. Hibachi is a little dusty for but will shine up nicely. The copper stove and tea pot comes with one bronze/copper looking metal chop stick. There is another removable pot inside the pot. Hibachi was used with sand inside the copper basin to hold lighted charcoal for warming rooms. Hands or making tea. There are two drawers for tools and other accessories.
