I'm not an expert in this field but when researching this I was able to find a seat just like this on pintrest and Koken F213C was listed with the photos. I've shown good photos for you to see condition so view them carefully please. My brother bought an old barber shop and this and several other things which I will also be listing. This chair hangs on the back of a barber chair and can be adjusted to 3 different heights. I don't know if it's been recovered or not- it probably has but not recently. You can see that 2 screws are either too short or have had the tips broken off. The trim around has worn off in most places. I guess it's possible that it's original but not likely unless this is from a newer model and not from the one I found in research. The last pic is the chair I found online- it's not mine- I'm just using it to show what chair I think it goes with. I will be adding more info asap! just needed to get listed before it got too late.

I have for auction a star barber chair that belonged to my grandfather before he passed away. Apparently it is a koken star from the ones that I have seen and they seem to be extremely rare also. Kokens Barber Supply Early 1900S Multi Chair Token Holder Cst Nickel Or Iron
Unique old barber shop memorabilia multi chair shop cast iron or nickel token holder for keeping track of how many haircuts or shaves each barber did in a day or week by depositing their colored token in one of the eight slots routinely. Apparently this was the method used. Based on research, to make sure each barber was getting their wage accurately on payday. It measures 6 1/4 wide by 4 1/2 tall. by 2 1/2 in depth. It is marked on the back with the Koken name. The front of the piece has cast decoration. It is a heavy piece. Good luck bidding. The piece is in excellent condition. No cracks, chips or damage. Antique Barber Chair Swivel Stool **RARE**
Up for auction is an early 1900's barber swivel stool. This stool mounted on the center pedestal of the barber chairs of the day(the red clamp in the pictures) And allowed the barber to sit and swivel back and forth behind the client while cutting. The seat itself has no tears in the fabric and the metal parts are in good condition with signs of normal wear and tear reasonable for it's age. Amazing 1800's McKinley Wood Framed Two Piece Barber Chair
This great antique barber chair has just been professionally reupholstered with a sturdy. Beautiful light brown suede leather. It measures 24" deep, 44" tall and 23" wide(not including the separate footrest) The chair itself is wood framed(and is put together with square head nails, we noticed) and has an adjustable headrest(the pictures of the back of the chair have one with the headrest up and one with it down) The chair also tilts back by means of a foot lever that is on the back lower right side of the chair(visible in the first picture) Obviously, the barber, who was standing behind the chair, would use this to tilt the chair back. The separate footrest has a gold metal covered foot platform with a raised, padded leg or foot rest. Barber Shop Collectors better see this one. The age would be 1800's to have the detail on this antique Koken barber chair. I purchased this chair at an auction in Timewell IL 20 years ago. The Oak wood has burl detail with carved drops. I stripped the wood years ago and did not get any farther on it's restoration. I am Out of the Mood for sure now so you can do it. I am not that knowledgeable about how these chairs operate. I can see that the bottom wrought iron foot plate has be broken and repaired. Not a professional repair. It is patented September 21.1901 and December 1, 1903, and someone said it was called"America" I believe this chair was designed to commemorate the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair, hence the name, America" It has a hydraulic base seat goes up and down that still works! I am not sure how to recline the chair. Has swan like handle brace. It still has the original rare leather beautiful design upholstered seat. Back, armrests, and front.
