An older family friend asked me to help her list this wonderful. Large antique stove in her attic. When I saw it, I was immediately reminded of all those stories I read when I was little that talked about heaters and cookstoves(A Little Princess, Little House on the Prairie, etc. I couldn't believe I was actually seeing one in person! Apologies for the"lovely" attic background. But we are two smallish women and didn't want to attempt to move the heavy piece of iron from the 3rd floor! She has had it"forever, but she and her husband are preparing to sell their enormous house and are finding good homes for their larger antiques: Height: 48" Including finial. Circumference of central pipe: 51" Circumference of base: 60" Marked"Bright Oak" on the front in ornate letters, Lovely iron work all over ... morethe piece. Quite decorative, Made in 1907- see photos. Made of cast iron and brass with an ornate finial on top. Neither of us are experts on this- we expect that any buyer will know more than us. However. It doesn't take a genius to see broken parts or cracks! This piece has none- there doesn't appear to be any damage, aside from mild rust accumulated over 100 years. As you will see from the photos, the drawer slides out, the grate is intact, and there are no cracks or broken off parts. We wiped the dusty piece down with a wet rag before photographing because it was very dusty and dirty(some parts were still wet when we took the pictures. You can see that there is a light coating of orange rust on the iron. And the brass is dull. The stove will need to be cleaned up. However, it will be*beautiful* when it is refurbished- we found a photo of almost the exact same model on this site(for $4800! Please look at the photos for yourself- we took them from every angle with the flash so we could accurately represent the piece. I am still working on cleaning out the attic of 45 years of stuff. I decided for a change to start on one of the 2 sheds. This nice old(I believe galvanized) coal bucket has no holes or rust. Could be used for cleaning out your wood stove or fireplace. It is 16 1/2 inches long x 12 1/2 inches wide and 10 inches high. I brushed it off but did not wash it.

This auction is for an early 1900's lifter stove tool made by the Troy Nickel Works of Troy. N.Y. they made a host of stove trimmings& accessories& their famous company trademark name for their line of stove accessories was the"ALASKA" brand. their motto was"ALWAYS COLD" this is 1 of their earliest stove lid lifters, instead of being embossed with the words, the 2 sides are debossed& 1 side has the words"KEEPS KOLD" a saying they used early on for a little while before dropping it. the other side has the word"ALASKA" debossed lightly in it, not as heavily cut into the metal as the other side. thye pictures show this well. these lifters with these words on them& debossed aren't nearly as found as the later ones with just"ALASKA" embossed on them. it is clean& coated ... morewith stove black paint, ready to display or use. it is larger than the later versions& much heavier too. it has a lift tongue to raise the lids on top of the stove, this tongue is rounded on the end& will also fit in the small rounded hole style stove lids like Majestic, Home Comfort have. it is a"circle-spring handle" style lid lifter. that was designed to fit comfortably in your hand& also the spring handle stayed cool& wouldn't burn your hand. the later circle-style-handle lifters like this are smaller in every way& are not easily held by a person with a large hand. it fits the standard style lids on the old cast iron cookstoves, ranges& heaters. it is old& authentic, not a reproduction, damage free. anyone with a old stove or range could be in need of this fine old lifter for their stove& heater. please email with any questions before bidding as all sales are final. Rare Antique 1890's Home Comfort Wood Stove. WROUGHT IRON RANGE CO. No reserve auction for this patent dated NOV. 19- 1889 hot water bucket. When the Wrought iron range company first started they made their pans out of the same cast iron as their stoves. They iron skillets warped so badly they are hardly ever found. This is a early water bucket made to hang on the side of the range when not in use. I guess since water was used in this bucket it kept it at the same temperature.It did not warp like the skillets do. I have seen a couple of these buckets on line but never with the early patent date on it. They are from a later manufacturing after the cast iron was changed. Use on top of your heating stove to create steamed potatoes, steamed puddings or r use with minimal water as an oven. I used one like this in Alaska in my cabin. It really steam bakes potatoes fast. Steam creates hotter heat and moisture keeps potatoes moist and steamy. Amazing piece. Pre-curser to the microwave in how it cooks fast. rare 1800's Richmond Va Co New Dixie iron box wood stove confederate foundry
I have sold most of my stove collection the past several yrs but. I kept this rare stove because of the history& appeal it always has had to me. it is a"Box" style wood only burning, all cast iron heating stove. you can see it well enough in all the pictures. let me say first hand that my wife does not want me to sell this tove, she wants to keep it so, I reserve the right to end the auction any time if there are no bids as time goes on or no one uses the"Buy it Now" feature. it was made by the Richmond Stove Co of Richmond, Va. this old iron foundry was in business during the civil war& made confederate products such as cannons, so I was told. I once had a catalog of theirs from 1908& they had already dropped this early box stove& were at that time offering a more modern looking box stove with a different ... morename. I sold that catalog before I found this stove in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virigina. this style design box stove is typical of the later 1870's thru to around 1900. this stove has much ornate embossing all over it, typical of the victorian era"Eastlake" period of the later 1880's. the name on each side is"NEW DIXIE" it has a oval shaped flue pipe collar that fits a 5" stove pipe. it's a"19" box number but the fire box actually is 16" deep, the total length of the stove front to back is 26" overall. the firebox is 10" wide. the hearth on the front is 13" wide. the stove is 22" tall not counting the 3/4" tall smoke pipe collar. but, 9 1/2" of that is the very tall legs, they are the"slip-on" type, they don't bolt on. all 4 legs are original to this stove& fit tight& snug with no wiggle. every box stove I ever saw never had long legs like this 1. most of the small ones only have 5"6" long legs. this is a unusual stove to be sure. it has been completely restored, taken apart, cleaned of any rust, painted with heat proof stove paint& put back together&

This is a brand new Small Convection Heater exactly in same condition as shipped originally from Vermont Castings in 1987. It has never been fully assembled and includes all parts and accessories as shown in photos. These were very popular as either coal or wood burners with catalytic combustor to deliver average burn time of 8.25 hours at average efficiencies of 79% Weighs 400 Lbs and is 30"H x 22"W x 17"D. Heater is meant for heating a few rooms or most of a small house. 7,000 to 9,500 cubic feet. Maximum BTU/Hr output is 49,000. Holds logs up to 19" or 40 Lbs of coal. Includes 6" diameter oval reversible flue collar. These stoves take advantage of the natural rising of warm air to create circulating flows. Nickel plating has been completely redone& I bet looks like it did the day it was made! Brand new mica glass. Measures high 53 inches high and 24 inches wide. Up for auction is a antique Sears Salesman sample cast iron pot belly wood cook stove toy. The front of the stove is marked Sears and the door opens up and inside is a metal mesh inside with showing pipe in middle. The door hooks closed but you have to lift it up to securely closed. The legs are all intact and two of them are loose and the other two are secure. There is no top lid that you would use to cook on top. Wood handle, and glass top-has hinged lid and spout-Measures approx. 10" Tall by 8" wide with the handle-Good shape for its age! Has some patina as well as some other marks. Has some indentions all over it that could be production flaws. Could be cleaned or left alone! Wood handle has a chipped piece missing. Glass top has small crack at the bottom.
