This is a superb silver travelling communion set made in 1876 by George Unite. The set comes in it's original fitted case and comprises of wine jug. Goblet and paten. The set is of superb quality and is beautifully chased. The wine jug has a domed pull off cork stopper with a lyre shaped finial. The body of the jug has a round spreading body leading down to a stepped round base. It has a pouring spout to the front and handle to the back. The ewer is engraved below the top rim'This Do In Remembrance Of Me' The wine cup/ goblet has a flared and rolled rim above gently curving sides and it stands on a stem of columns above a round stepped pedestal base. The goblet has the inscription around the top'Drink Ye All Of This' The paten has a raised rim and stands on a flat base. It is engraved'I Am The Bread Of Life' All three pieces are beautifully chased and decorated. The wine jug is 2 inches/ 50 mm in diametre and it stands 4-1/4 inches/ 107 mm high. The goblet is 1-3/4 inches/ 45 mm in diametre and it stands 3-7/8 inches/ 98 mm high. The paten is 2-1/2 inches/ 63 mm in diametre and it stands1/2 inch/ 12 high. The set weighs 198 grams. Ball feet with decorative metal corner supports; clasp on the front; celluliod overlay that is flaking as shown; bottom is covered with wallpaper; pale blue satin interior that's worn and loose on one side; the top of the box had a pair of black gloves with gold and bronze trim and 3 gnomes- 2 gnomes are perched on top of a glove and one is standing next to the gloves with his arms out- they look like they're using the gloves as a slide. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SHADOW BOX WREATH~POSSIBLE MOURNING WITH PICTURES OF CHILDREN
For your consideration today. We have an antique Victorian shadow box. This could possible be a mourning wreath with a photo of young children in the center. Around the picture, is a wreath of what appears to be dried greens and flowers, that are remarkably bright. There is a velvet border around the old wavy glass. The frame is a floral, leaf and banner gesso on wood. Condition wise, the piece is in good antique condition, the velvet is worn down close to the glass, the gesso has surface cracks pretty much all the way around, and the outside frame has some nicks. The background of the interior has spots on the seams, probably old dried glue. Even with all of that said, it is a lovely display piece. Old framed portrait of a young child with loads of curly hair and even a small shirt. I don't know what to make of this and I'm sorry. But hair grosses me out so I didn't want to open this up to move the hair off the poor kids face. It looks like a hand painted photo of a small child and I'm assuming a girl with all that curly blonde hair. See photos for further details and condition. It looks like a black velvety fabric behind it that is worn through around some of the edges. The glass has some scratches, but the frame is in decent shape. It has wire and paper backing on the back that look newer than the portrait itself so someone must have put new back on at some point. So sweet! A hand made and hand painted porcelain trinket box with a little baby girl in her bed pulling on her socks! This antique treasure is all hand made and hand painted. And our little princess girl is so sweet just waking up with her rosy cheeks and blue eyes! It measures in total 4" x 2" x 3 1/2" The lid itself measures about 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" on just the baby's length. The bottom is 1 1/2" x 2" For a porcelain over 100 years old there are a few condition issues: some of the gold gilding is off in places. There is one small chip to the inside rim of the bottom box and the tip of one the baby's blue stripped sock's has chipped off. This auction is for a lovely Victorian Silverplate TEA POT from Reed& Barton- marked with the pattern#2585. It is a tall. Square shape piece decorated with etched satin finished leaves and flowers and has fancy figural faces on the feet. The handle has heat insulators top and bottom. It stands 9.5" tall. With a span of 8.25" will hold up to 44 ounces. Condition: Excellent- a few very minor dings and slight impressions. Very little wear to the silverplate- most of which will be found on the raised edges.

35 Different Victorian Trade Cards, Calling Cards, Greeting Cards 1880s-1920s
Up for auction is a lot of 35 different greeting. Trade, and calling cards, mostly Victorian era. Several of the cards are"mechanical" when opened they have moving parts. Some advertise products- Singer Sewing Machines, Lion Coffee, Superior Stoves and Ranges, etc. There are 2 items that appear to be bookmarks, plus an 1892 calendar from Youth Companion magazine. There are 2 business cards, one from the Woodland Commandery(Woodland California) and one from a man named Martin from the Y.M.I. Youth Ministry Institute? in Livermore California. Two of the calling cards are hand carved- the name and information has been scraped/ raised on the front of the card(see example in photo 10 here, upper right) Several are school related- Arlington School in Snomish Washington 1899, and Augustana Business College 1903, for example. Several are ... moredie cut, several rave ribbons attached, some have embossed lettering and designs. In fairly good condition overall, some have scrapes or smudges, some appear to have been trimmed, some are in pretty nice shape. Buyer pays $3.25 shipping and handling in the US.

You are purchasing this lovely piece knowing this condition. The outstanding shape is rather like a huge blooming flower. Or perhaps a multi lobed shell. The footed base is gilded, as is the rim. There is mottling of gold inside and out, also. The bottom of the bowl has an English registry cartouche as well as a crown mark under which is a banner that says ROYAL. Below is the word Adderley. Nice pair of Victorian pin cushions in what resembles a footed urn ~ the green has faded a bit from exposure ~(1) of the"urns" has a tooth broken off ~ both cushions attached very securely and stiff ~ measures approx. 4" high x 5" wide. Would make a nice addition to one's collection. In good"as found" condition. This is just one of many sewing items just acquired from an estate collection. vintage HALF DOLL Victorian Lady PIN CUSHION pincushion arms hands raised
Vintage pin cushion. By hair style and corsetted waist I'm guessing Victorian lady theme. Probably a porcelain material- feels like it. The half doll stands about 2 1/2 inches tall- has 4 holes for attaching to the'skirt' pincushion- has numbers around the base back and indented, which look to be numbers and/or letters as well. She has all her fingers and looks Ok- has a few fine dots of green showing in spots- see closeup photo. Inside the figure, near the bottom, is a gold colored'marking' letter or? not sure what it is- see photo. The skirt is of old lace and the pin base is firm. This will be carefully packed for safe shipping. The shipping cost quoted on your page is for the whole pin cushion, as you see it. Superb Rare Victorian Sterling Silver Engrave Decorated Pivot Action Match or Vesta Case dated 1880 This Antique Match or Vesta Case measures approximately 1 3/4 inches or 44 mm in length from the top of its hanging ring to the base of its body when closed and it is 2 7/8 inches or 73 mm in total length from its hanging ring to the top of its internal body when fully open. The case is just over 3/4 of an inch or 20 mm across the width of its body from side to side by just over 3/8 of an inch or 10 mm across the depth of its body from front to back and it is 1 1/2 inches or 39 mm across the length of its main body from the top to the bottom edge. The match or Vesta case is made from sterling silver in a rectangular shape that has rounded ends and it has a sterling silver ring on the top of its body so that the Vesta case can be hung as a pendant ... morefrom a chain or as a fob on a pocket watch Albert chain.
