The quality of this rosewood grain is staggering. It is so rich and vivid and has a great polish to it as the pictures clearly show. The mother of pearl keyhole and escutcheon are both in wonderful condition and sit flush. They contrast fantastically against the rosewood. All pewter stringing is in place and the box comes with key which looks to be original. The inside is very original and is lined is rouched red silk which is in very good condition. Lovely Victorian( or possibly earlier) Jet Glass Mourning Necklace/Choker. The necklace is made of faceted beads with intermediate shaped. Patterned and detailed large beads. At the bottom is a shell cameo of an 18th Century gentleman set into a large mount or polished oblong bead. The size of the beads are from nearly 1/2in down to nearly 1/4in not including the small spacer beads. The intermediate shaped beads are from 1.1/4in down to 3/4in, and the cameo is 1.1/8in long. Some of the beads are slightly chipped, but then they would be after all this time. In my opinion the whole is in very good condition especially as there are no broken beads. The length is 18in. Offered is a wonderful Victorian pendant. The pendant is carved ox bone and has a 3-D roaring lion. He has tiny black inset pupils. The pendant is 2 18" high. 1 13/16" wide with a depth of about 3/8" There vertical graining on the back of the pendant. A round gold bale ring holds the pendant. I believe the bale ring is gold. This is a great lot of antique/vintage silver and GF items! The cameo. And victorian GF pin are definitely beautiful! Also the large sterling pin in the center is incredibly interesting, and different. Probably a lot of unnecessary writing, but it makes it more interesting! Antique Victorian Silver Pin Egyptiian Design Ancient Coptic Scarab Bead Enamel
Antique Victorian Egyptian pin with an ancient scarab bead set in the center of it. It has an open C clasp. That works correctly, with an extra pin on it to keep it in place, the piece is larger at the top and would maybe flop over with out it. The bead is hand carved and has a Coptic cross on the back of it rather than the usual hieroglyphics. The pin is 1 1/2" across and about 7/8" high. The enamelling is either damaaged or was made that way to look old. It was not unheard of for the artilst of the period to do that. It does not look like the pin has been abused at all. It is made of a high grade of silver but I have not tested it and it is unmarked. In the late 19th century Egyptian designs were very popular and small ancient artifacts were often incorporated into jewelry. The scarab is very old; much older than the pin it is ... morein.

Antique victorian art nouveau garnet cabochon engraved stick pin gold filled
Nice old victorian/art nouveau stickpin. Not marked, assumed to be gold filled, with an engraved top with a marquise shaped cabochon garnet(not sure real) set in the center, with leaf decorations. Measures about 3 inches long, with the top piece at 3/4 by almost 1/2 inch in size. The pin shows some wear and darkened discoloration in spots, with a straight stalk which does have scratches and grooves probably from having a clutch on and off of it over the years. Under a loupe the stone shows minimal wear with a tiny flea bite chip on the bottom edge, and some surface nicks, but has a pretty deep red color. Please ask questions, ships with tracking.
