Victorian Handmade Bead Beaded Wrap style Bracelet with crystal dangles
This is what appears to be a very vintage handmade bracelet probably from the 1800's when the ladies sat around making little beaded purses and such. Please note that I was unable to capture the true colors with my camera- the little crystal dangles that may appear pale turquoise on your monitor actually look to be violet in color to me. The main beads are closer to their real color which is a sort of mustard brown or greenish kahki( a strange shade) The beads that look like pearls are actually dark gray and silvery pink. The little flower is actually part of the clasp and the bracelet wraps around and there is a small loop of beads that slips over it. It appears to be mother of pearl. The bracelet is about 11.5 inches in length. However because of the wrap style and the dangles, the wearable part is actually about 7 inches. For your consideration, this Gorgeous, Fine Quality Burl Walnut Victorian Slant Front Secretary Desk with Bookcase Top(Circa: 1870) This fine Victorian Secretary Desk weighs approximately 195 pounds, and measures 84 ¼” in height, 44” in width, and 22” in depth. This fantastic Burl Walnut Victorian Slant Front Secretary Desk with Bookcase Top breaks down into two pieces for transport(bookcase top and bottom base with desk) is full of character, has many lovely design details and a spectacular warm finish. The bookcase top is graced with a beautiful crown moulding accented with lovely burl-clad scalloped moulding. Three raised horizontal burl panels are found beneath the crown moulding and additional vertical burl accents are found on the sides of the glass doors which are adorned ... morewith picture frame moulding. Elegant incised fan carvings accent the outside corners of these glass doors. There is an intact lock on the glass doors and a decorative(non-working) key is included to assist in opening the doors. Three adjustable shelves that measure 37” long by 8 ½” deep provide display and storage opportunity. The elegance continues on the slant front desk door which is graced with a lovely large raised burl panel and has an intact lock with a decorative(non-working) key. You will notice that there are additional burl accents along on the sides of the desk door. This elegant slant front desk door opens to reveal a black felt writing surface with Greek Key trim along with five small birds-eye maple front drawers with wooden pulls and Knapp-joinery. And five pigeon-hole slots with birds-eye maple valances. This raised burl panel detailing found on the elegant slant front door is repeated on the large center drawer and on the bottom doors. Wonderful Czech Victorian Blue Glass and Brass Chandelier Earrings
These beautiful earrings are composed of faceted oval and teardrop shaped bezel-set blue glass set in ornate brass settings. For comfort. I changed the tops to gold-fill balls for pierced ears, but have the original screw back tops which I will send or put back at your request. The screw backs have a floret with a blue rhinestone and one is marked"Czechoslovakia. The earrings themselves consist of three dangling sections. Each with a faceted oval glass stone. The middle and bottom sections have Etruscan-style balls and the bottom section dangles three tear drop shaped blue glass stones. The earrings measure almost 2 1/2 inches long by 5/8 inch at the widest point. The blue stones are generally in very good shape- a couple of the dangling tear drops have chips. Old Original Handmade Victorian Needlepoint Rose Tapestry for Chair Back & Arms
Here is a gorgeous set of three completed needlepoint pieces for a Victorian chair. These were found in an old estate and are original. The sizes are 15 1/2" x 19" on the larger one and approximately 6" x 10" on the smaller ones(one is a little longer) I believe the larger one is for the back of the chair while the smaller ones would fit the arms. The pattern is a large bouquet of pink roses with. Lavender, and yellow flowers all on a mauve background. The needlepoint itself appears clean and undamaged with no holes. I do see rust stains around the small holes surrounding the needlepoint from where it was tacked to the frame. It was this way when I received it. The canvas is a tan cotton(almost like a gunny sack but softer) that someone hemmed to keep from unraveling while being worked on. Antique. Victorian 14K gold lorgnette. Usually worn on a chain. These retractable lenses came in handy if you needed just a little bit of magnification. These stamped 14K gold lenses are magnifiers. If you pull down on the little button towards the handle, the second lens pops out so you can see better what you're looking at. With both eyes. They work retracted too. This lorgnette is slightly under 4" long. The solid gold stem and bezels of the lenses are engraved with a wheat-like motif. The entire piece weighs 22 grams, or approximately 12 grams of 14K. These magnifying"readers" were used during the Victorian age. They are in excellent working condition and show very little wear. This rare item is in rare condition for its age. What is more?
