It is 82" long and ... more39" high to the center at the back. This sofa is ornate with hand crafted hard wood decor about 2" thick in dark brown color of the grape and leaf patterns. The cushion is about 4" at highest point. 58" long without arm, and 20" deep. It is an original tanned upholstery with the small mauve flower pattern. It is decorated with some fabric buttons on the cushion. The cushion is very firm. There are 3 light water stains on the cushion sitting area as shown in the pictures. There is a small worn area on the fabric of the left arm. No major damage on the cushion. The cushion is 5" high from the floor. It has the brass rivets stitched along the cushion all the way around the front. The arm is 24 1/2" high from the floor. Each arm of the sofa has embossed hand crafted grape leaf design. There is a wooden surface damage on the top right arm. The stitching at the back along the left arm has come detached about 2" The legs are very stunning with the hand carvings on wood about 2 3/4" thick. The end of the legs have brass wheels about 1" diameter. There is a tear at the back on right foot area of the upholstery about 2" but it is not noticeable. The back felt cover is purple/ blue, it is faded. There are rusty nails holding back cover, that is partially torn off. The bottom of the couch covered with the fabric, it is old, has no tears. All the tears mentioned can be fixed. All is in great shape. This piece is really classic antique look, was kept well by our grandmother circa 1800's. Sold as is. Local pick-up only. There are one or two very tiny bubbles in the glass, and a larger one. Just off-centre, in the base which can be seen looking down through the stem. Hello and welcome to our auction! Today we are pleased to offer this lovely old Victorian Sterling Silver Sash Belt Buckle by La Pierre Mfg. It has an engraved floral pattern. Measures approx. 2 7/8 inches wide by approx. 2 1/4 inches tall and weighs an impressive 35.8 grams. It is marked sterling along with the La Pierre hallmark on the back as shown in the pics. La Pierre Mfg. Co. was founded in 1888 in Newark NJ until it was acquired by the International Silver Company around 1929. It is in excellent condition with a very nice patina. VICTORIAN SILVER PLATE PRESERVE STAND WITH CUPS ~ c. 1900
While researching this beautiful item in a turn of the century catalog we saw other such items described as preserve sets. There may be a more modern term applicable. But for the moment we’ll refer to it as a preserve although we use it to hold candy. Our best guess is that it was made 1870-1910 in America or perhaps England. The stand is 8” in height. 9 1/2” in length and approximately 4 3/4” in depth. The cups are approximately 2 1/4” in height with base diameters of 2 7/8” The approximate diameter of the top is a little less than 4” The set weighs just over 2 lbs. It has no manufacturers mark and may have been part of a larger service set that was marked. The preserve set has bun feet and the surface of both the stand and the cups used hand hammering as decoration. The edges of both the stand and the cups are hand crenelated creating a ... morefree form ruffled rim. This footed preserve stand with its matching cups is in totally original condition with no replating. The silver plate is quality. The preserve set is in good + original condition. It is a functional piece that was used. Consequently. There is wear to the plate inside the cup bottoms as one would expect. Other than that, the set is about as nice as it gets with no dents or repairs. This is a very nice period piece. HUGE 29 X 20 VICTORIAN ARMORIAL GEORGIAN FLORAL DESIGN SERVING TRAY WAITER TRAY Search Up for auction is a Victorian possibly Sheffield Plate footed serving tray. The tray is large measuring 29 inches long handle to handle. Almost 20 inches wide and 1.5 inches tall resting on 4 feet. It is also very heavy weighing 12 pounds before shipping and is either silver plated over copper or Sheffield Plate. The tray is a beauty featuring a ornate rim that was applied after the center of the tray was formed, the engraving in the center of the trays is exposing the copper to make the most beautiful contrast and the pressed design on the front of the tray can be partially seen on the back of the tray. The Armorial is not showing copper making it appear that the engraving color was intentional. The tray is very heavy weighing 12 pounds before being packed ... moreto ship. Sheffield plate trays were manufactured in"parts" and then soldered together. The handles were most probably a lead base material and the handles appear to be a lead base and not copper base. There is a break on the rim of the tray measuring about 1.5 inches long as shown in the last picture and is located to one side of the handle which could be soldered. If you bid on the tray, please do so because you sincerely want it and not because it is possibly Sheffield Plate. Also, open the pictures before bidding. Huge Victorian Gothic brass doorknocker devil and cherubs
You are bidding on a true Victorian Gothic doorknocker. Composed of iron that is brass plated and gold gilded underneath. This was taken off a large palatial home in Illinois by my 80 some year old client who lived in the home up until the 80's when she moved. Weighs a little over 5 pounds. Measures about 12 inches long by 6 and 1/2 inches wide. The base of the doorknocker is supported by a post that runs through the mouth of the devil character. Please note the wonderful workmanship on the cherubs and what appears to be perhaps a horned ram creature at the tip. Probably the best doorknocker seen on ebay in recent times. Victorian Amethyst Non-Faceted Oval Stone Old Brooch Pin Gilded Frame Handmade
This fab estate fresh piece is handmade. With brass frame and appears to be slightly gilded over brass, back has remains of a little gilding around inside of frame! It is handmade and amethyst stone with a few teeny specks of stone rough but very minor. I believe only 2 less than pin dot chips but so small I really hate to call them chips, teeny tiny holes. There are no bubbles so not glass. That is how you can tell amethyst from glass, glass shows tiny bubbles in it and this does not. I was told amethyst from original owner! Should have cleaned it first. Smudges in pics, needed to be wiped to make it as clear/smooth as it really is. It measures approx. 1 3/4" x 1 5/8"nice size! Smooth non-faceted stone. Clearer when held to light but deep like pic 5 while wearing. One small area is not completely fit perfectly into frame. Sheffield England sterling lid scent bottle. Victorian cut glass antique perfume with hallmarked repousse face in the lid. Measures 5" high and 3 3/4" wide. Ball shaped blown glass bottle cut smooth at the bottom then cut with a large flower. Diagonal bands all around the body creating an octagon pattern. sterling silver neck band and lid repoussed with flowers. Ferns and a large whiskered face. Gold wash on inside of lid. Hallmarked on the neck band with a crown. Lion, f, and WN, the Sheffield mark for 1898-99. Do not know the maker, WN. Also WN and the lion punch on the inside of the lid. There are some condition issues. The inside of the bottle is cloudy and did not clean up with a vinegar soak. I did not clean the silver. Also. The lid is detached from the hinge, though it still fits well. One area of the lid looks very slightly ... moreindented when held a certain way. All taken into account when pricing.

This listing is for an Italian Victorian Figural Style lamp. The lamp measures 9 1/2" long x 9 1/2" wide x 24" tall(from bottom to socket) The porcelain section of the lamp measures 9 1/2" long x 7 1/2" wide x 16" tall. The figural reminds me of a Capodimonte. Some of the paint has started to chip off on the finger tips. I do not see any cracks. Chips, or repairs, but there is crazing in different part of the figural. I have wiped down the lamp but it could use a more detailed cleaning. This lamp is marked"Italy, 0693, and the name of the artist/company but I cannot make out the name. This lamp does not work. These are direct T-pull style, all featuring turned wood handles in a rich medium brown finish. The shanks are attached through the handle with a botton on top. Each is a bit different than the next in style of handle, detail of shank and type of helix and worm. Unmarked. Conditions generally very good, given age- as pictured. Minor chips to handle ends on two. Victorian silverplate fish service for 12 in its original fitted box. Box is mahogany with an inset brass shield for engraving. Interior is lined in silver gray satin and purple velvet. The box is labelled as shown in photo 10. There is a lock. We do not have the key. The silverplate fish knives and forks and matching serving pieces were made by the firm of John Nowill& Sons of Sheffield, England c. 1890-1900. All the pieces have hollow handles that give the set a very substantial appearance. The Louis XVI style handle decoration is in high relief. The blades and tines have intricate chased and etched flowering vines. None of the pieces have been monogrammed. The silverplating is intact and polishes to a high shine. There is some bubbling on the tips of the knive blades as shown in photos 11& 12. The serving knife is 12" long, ... morethe serving fork is 10" long. The servers are marked, Nowill D*A.
