The scale is in good working condition but i am unsure how accurate it is after all these years. The face of the scale has a couple of dings and ripples but not as much as i would expect. The face measures about 4 inches from top to bottom and is about 1 5/16 inches wide with an overall length of about 7 1/2 inches from the top of the ring to the bottom of the hook. Key Imports N-Scale Brass PRR J-1A 2-10-4
You are bidding on an N-Scale Key Imports Brass PRR(Pennsylvania Railroad) J-1A class 2-10-4. Road#6464. This model was manufactured by Samhongsa and is in very good condition. It has been out of the box a number of times to be run, and is still a great runner with a working headlight, but like all pieces of machinery, continued running will result in the need to clean and oil the drivers and mechanism. The driver flanges show no visible wear to them, and the second driving wheels have traction tires installed. The box and foam are both original and in great condition, but the box does have a little shelf wear to its base, and the label has some trouble sticking to the corners. Inside the box, you will find bagged spare screws, two new traction tires, two replacement drivers(one is the main driver with a flange, as you will observe in the ... morephotos, the currently installed main driver has blind flanges) and both have the driver boxes already on the axles, and a small hex wrench to replace the drivers. However, there are several areas I wish to point out, the top weld of the rear fireman's handrail on the tender rear has failed, as well as the weld for the molded air hoses on the rear on the of the tender. The air hoses are inside one of the small plastic bags with the other spare parts, but I did not want to repair the welds myself, because I do not own a resistance soldiering iron, and I do not believe it would be wise to reattach the parts with CA considering that the locomotive is already painted. Finally, there is a small paint chip running part of the length of the footboard just below the smoke box number plate. Therefore, please examine the photos carefully before bidding. Up for auction is this Key N-scale brass GS-4. The 4449, custom painted in the Freedom Train scheme by the good folks at Trains Emporium in Reno, NV. NSE quality, this engine is one-of-a-kind; I've never seen this particular brass engine in this scheme. I had the engine painted several years ago and have displayed it ever since. I just test ran it; it moves well in both directions and is lighted in both directions, dual headlights in front and one light on the rear of the tender. It has a K/D coupler at the rear of the tender as well. It comes in the original box(when it was in Daylight colors)This is a beautiful engine that would complement anyone's collection. This is a Hallmark brass/diecast model of a EMD SD-24 diesel loco. This is a brass shell made by Dai Young in Korea and has an Atlas/Kato SD7/9 mechanism mounted under the shell. This it the way it came from Hallmark Models. It was an experiment that worked out well but was never repeated. The loco runs excellent just like other Kato engines and is painted in Santa Fe"Zebra" paint scheme with road number 934. It also has Micro-Trains couplers mounted on it.The label on the box is the way a lot of these came from the factory.
