antique lead glazed redware pottery vase
This is a beautiful piece of lead glazed Redware pottery! It has two chips in the glaze on the side of the vase. Probably from being handled. This piece is signed; but, I am unable to make it out. Up for bids is this Antique American Redware Figural Jug Coin Bank- Dated 1792 with an inscription about saving. Vintage Mexican Bean Pot / Cazuela Redware Clay Pottery Rustic Kitchen
This is a vintage. Redware/ clay, pottery bean pot from Mexico. It is missing its lid, but is still very functional. Hand-thrown and hand-painted. It measures 8" tall by 9" wide with a 5 5/8" diameter rim at the top. Much of Mexico's redware comes from Michoacan. Because of its low temp. firing process. Many of the vintage pieces have ware marks, which I believe give the piece character and authenticity. This piece has only a few small ware marks in the glaze, as you can see in the last photo on the inside of the rim. In Mexico they actually use these bean pots. Mexican women steam a little apple cider vinegar in the pot for 30 minutes and clean out before use. Beans are fantastic and only take about an hour. I would still take a lead test strip to make sure the glaze does not have lead. And use it only for display if the ... moreglaze does(or for packaged items like cookies, crackers, etc.

"SQUASH" REDWARE POT, EARLY PUEBLO, NEW MEXICO, CIRCA 600 AD
SQUASH" REDWARE POT. EARLY PUEBLO. NEW MEXICO. CIRCA 600 AD Height: 6" Widest Width: 7 1/2" Weight: 2lbs. 7.6 oz This is an astonishingly good condition redware terracotta vessel in the form of a squash with ribbed sides. Slipped in red/black and rim flares. This is an insanely gorgeous pot that sings of the maker's mastery. Most likely used as a squash seed container. This pottery vessel makes it rather clear what the contents should be. Now. It is possible that the ancients utilized this beautiful container for other things, but the careful execution of ribs simulating a squash is undeniable. This vessel came from a very old New Mexican family collection. Besides some blackened bottom and some side-adhere of surrounding alkaline soil. This pot is in excellent condition. The lip area is clean. Minor side dents. The glaze ... morestill appears on the ribs and within. It appears to be a polychrome red/orange/black. On Aug-06-13 at 21:26:31 PDT. Primitive Redware Clay Pottery Aztec Indian Woman Grinding On Stone Figure
This is a primitive/ antique/ vintage statue/ figure of a Native Indian woman on her knees grinding corn/ maize on her stone/ metate. She's wearing a loincloth with her breast bare. There is lettering at the base of the statue. Maybe Mexico, but I can't make it out. There are chips to her hair, one eye and behind her lower legs. There's a hole to the side of her stomach, I believe made by her maker. The artist captures the essence of the woman's contributions to the tribe/ village/ community/family/ clan. I believe she's made of Redware pottety/clay This is an estate sale find and will need light cleaning. She is stunning. Please see pictures for further details and measurements.

ANTIQUE CHINESE/JAPANESE YIXING CLAY REDWARE DRAGON OIL LAMP - ELECTRIFIED
ANTIQUE CHINESE/JAPANESE YIXING CLAY DRAGON OIL LAMP/VASE- ELECTRIFIED I think this is late 1800's. It came from my great grandfathers home, I know very little about it. It has an artistic metal base and metal liner at top to hold the original brass oil lamp. At some point it was electrified and the hand painted globe was added. It has been this way as long as I can remember, I have not changed anything. The oil lamp sets securly into the liner. I have been told this vase was used to hold the oil lamp yet allowed it to be carried to another room that would have a similar vase, it makes sense. There are dragons around the widest part of the vase and decorations along the top rim. I have not seen any markings to indicate artist or oringin. It does need some cleaning. I did not see any chipping, cracking, or other visual damage. I have no ... moreidea of true value. But suspect it is alot more than the opening bid. I have never seen anything like it and I have looked. The base is 8" in diameter. Widest section is 10" diameter, top is 5" diameter, vase height is 20" lantern height is 4" globe height is 11" Combined height is 35" If you have any question feel free to ask. I'll do my best to answer them. Handling charge is for packing materials. Thanks for looking!

Up for bids is this Pig Whistle/ Ocarina/ Flute/ Wind Instrument. I have done a lot of searching for this particular one and can't find it anywhere. The maker and age is unknown. I have been told that it is a souvenir piece from Mexico but I can not back that up. I think it looks very old. It has a design on it and looks like it was pieced together. It is so unique. It has 4 holes on it's back and one on the bottom. There is a tiny slit on it's backside below the tail to blow in. It works! Measures about 4 inches long x 2 1/2 inches high x 2 inches wide. I do my best to offer as complete a description as possible but in the event that something was missed or misstated. Please let me know. All measurements are approximate Always happy to combine shipping Please contact me via eBay with questions Payments are due within 24 hours ... morefrom end of auction, unless prior arrangements have been made. Antique English Glazed Engine Turned Redware Coffee Pot Set Chinese Style 1700s
This auction features a one of a kind 1700s engine turned or pottery wheel English coffee pot set. This set comes complete with a coffee pot. Sugar bowl, and creamer, the pot and sugar bowl both having their lids. Which is especially rare. This amazing Yi-Hising Chinese inspired set is in fabulous shape with only a few minor chips. No cracks, and to my knowledge there has been no repairs. I believe this set was produced by the dutch silversmiths David and John Elers, who worked in London and Staffordshire in the early 1700's. The brothers produced a very finely potted smooth ware with decorated applied China export designs. All pieces have a matte glaze on the tops and a shiny wet look glaze towards the bottom. Measurements are as follows: Coffee pot with lid stands 10-1/2" tall and is 9"in diameter at its widest point. The ... moresugar bowl with lid is 7" tall and 7-1/2" in diameter at its widest point, and the creamer is 5-1/4" tall and 6" across at its widest point. This unbelievable find would be fantastic if you just found the coffee pot with no lid, but to find this complete set with their original lids and no restoration is nearly impossible. Please examine all photos carefully and email me with any questions that you might have before bidding to ensure you complete satisfaction on this incredible, rare treasure. Good luck and happy bidding.
Antique TOKONAME 12" Japanese Redware Vase with 3-Toed Dragon in Clouds 19th C.
Antique TOKONAME 12" Japanese Redware Vase with 3-Toed Dragon in Clouds 19th C. This impressive piece of Tokoname pottery stands 12" tall. No chips and no cracks. Motif is a three toed dragon dancing in and out of swirling clouds. You'll find some white specs here and there- not sure if this is from an long ago ceiling job(i.e. they painted the ceiling and didn't cover the vase that was under it) Or if it is something else. It does seem to come off with a stiff brush, but I tend to err on the side of caution and prefer not to clean if I'm not sure. Marked on the bottom with an impressed seal. This vase will be double boxed for shipping. We accept payment through Pay Pal and ask that payment be received no later than three days from auction or sale end. Residents of New York State must pay 8% sales tax. Or provide a valid ... moreresale number. Shipping will be through the US Postal Service and the method used will depend on the size and weight of the package. As well as the distance it must travel. Fragile items will be double boxed. We will never use newspaper as padding, although we do recycle clean boxes. We will combine items to save on shipping when possible. We will ship internationally, but will not falsify custom documents. Returns will be accepted only if item is grossly misrepresented. Neither initial nor return shipping is refundable. Return must be mailed within 14 business days of package receipt. We have been selling on eBay for fourteen years. Please check our feedback and bid with confidence. Please contact us through the eBay system. We check e-mails nearly every day. Questions asked within 12 hours of auction end may not receive an answer. Sorry. But we will not end auctions early.
