The New York Stoneware Co and the number 4 is impressed. The flower ... moredesign is a very dark cobalt blue. Each side has an applied elephant ear handle. Circa: 1859- 1885. Fort Edward. NY) Measurements: 11 1/4" tall. 11 1/2" in diameter at the top. Base 11" in diameter. Floral decoration is about 5" wide X 6" tall. The blue floral decoration has dots and circles. Condition: This crock is being sold AS IS. This is a solid crock but it has issues. Large Blue decoration has excellent dark cobalt blue color but has a chip at the top branch. Shown in picture 2. There is a large chip at the rim above the ear handle, picture 8. The same ear handle has a chip underneath the handle, shown in the same picture. On the outside, there is a spider hairline that starts on the bottom and runs up the side, see close-up picture in picture 5, 10& 11. I would not trust this crock to hold water. There is one small chip in the dark brown glaze on the inside, last picture. Picture 5 shows a raised dark spot on the outside which appears to be from the manufacturing process. See all pictures. The large blue flower decoration has excellent dark cobalt blue color. This collectible crock is great to use in a decorative decor. Please check out my other auctions for more vintage items.

This heavy duty bell shaped chopper with 6 blades forming a star is a great decorative primitive or with a little bit of elbow grease you could remove the surface rust and restore it to working condition. OOAK Primitive Halloween Black Kitty Cat Jack O Lantern Shelf Sitter Bowl Filler
This auction is for an Original One of A Kind(OOAK) Primitive Halloween Black Kitty Cat and Jack O Lantern. Made using my own pattern. The cat is made from tea-dyed muslin, painted black and then sanded down to look old and worn. The eyes are off-white felt, primitively sewn on and blue vintage buttons, with black beads glued onto them. The nose is soft-sculptured and the mouth is sewn on with black embroidery thread. I used sisal twine for the whiskers. I made a dress for Miss Kitty using bright orange with black polka dots cotton fabric. I sewed rusty bells onto the arms(the arms actually can be moved) and I sewed a vintage rhinestone button onto the neckline of her dress. She is approximately 6 1/2 inches tall and 3 inches wide. I cut some'feet' out for her, using thin plywood, and glued them on, so she will stand nicely for you. ... moreIn her arms is a Jack O Lantern, which is made from tea-dyed muslin, painted orange and sanded down to make it look old. Its stem is a small stick, found in the woods behind my house. The pumpkin is approximately 4 1/4 inches tall(including the stem) and 2 1/2 inches wide. Each measures about 7 1/2" wide and 2 1/4“ high not including the stems. They are made out of muslin then painted. Grunged, sanded and dusted with cinnamon. The stems are made out of muslin with a pipe cleaner inserted inside and twisted. Grungy cheesecloth has been placed around the stem section. I just love how they turned out. The big guy measures 9" high and 25" around. The small black pumpkin is 5 1/2" tall and 15" around with the orange jack coming in at 5" tall and 15" around. They have been stained and rubbed with cinnamon to give it a nice grungy look. The faces have been sewed on with embroidery floss. 1870s HUGE Folk Art Architectural Church Finial Primitive OAK Newel Post Cap
GIANT. Original, solid oak, beehive finial. Incredible primitive patina. Would also make a striking garden ornament. Salvaged from late, 19th century, Chicago church. To give a better idea of the grand staircase this was recovered from, I saved a piece of the original newel post that once supported it(last photo) Overall it measured over 7 feet tall! Now, this architectural gem makes a breathtaking piece of folk art. It proudly displays its age and history. Apparently when electricity caught on, someone added a newel post lamp on top to illuminate the stairway. Up for auction is an Original One of A Kind(OOAK) Primitive Grungy Halloween Jack O Lantern that I made using my own pattern. It is made of tea-dyed muslin. Which I painted orange, sanded down to make it look old and worn and then covered with my special primitizing'sauce' and baked in the oven to prim perfection! Its eyes are brown vintage buttons, its nose a piece of orange, striped fabric, which I primitively sewed on and its mouth is a piece of a vintage zipper, which I also primitively stitched on. The stem is from one of the many branches that blew down in my neighborhood last October during Hurricane Sandy! Antique Butter Press/Mold Primitive with Finger Joints
This is a charming and wonderful wood butter press. I've had it for about 35 years and it was an antique when I bought it. It harks back to a time when people took pride in their work. It's obviously hand made and the joints are carefully fitted. The only slight flaw is that the bottom of the box has a green tinge. It is in otherwise good condition. It measures 5.5" across x 3.25" high. I will insure it when I ship it. I do not take returns.

Antique Primitive Stool, orig red paint, early nails, tool marks, 19th c. PA
Offered is a significant. Early, primitive stool out of South-central PA with all the right talking points. It has a shaped violin-like seat. It shows very early nails and screws and early tool marks that could only have been made with 19th c. tools. The stool also has the original red color so sought after by collectors. The underneath exhibits early work with early chisel, saws, etc. It is very heavy and the wood would appear to be cherry and walnut or a mixture of both. It weighs 7.5 lbs. is 17" L, 10"w, and 9.5" high. This is without a doubt the best stool we have ever offered. SWIVEL Seat Milking Stool UNUSUAL Antique 3 Legged Wooden Pennsylvania PRIMITIVE
A Primitive Antique Hand Hewn Wooden Pennsylvania Farm Stool c.1880's from Lancaster County. Pennsylvania A Hand Hewn Milking Stool with Rare Unusual Swivel Seat DESCRIPTION A Primitive Old Farm Stool from Lancaster County An Antique Pennsylvania Farm Stool that is most unusual. we've never seen another one like this. a true and quite rare PRIMITIVE handmade wooden stool still with quite a lot of old dry surface paint finish visable. This was made so that the top portion of the stool rotates. A rare SWIVEL SEAT milking stool. The entire stool is all hand hewn and comes apart in three pieces. Probably originally used in the barn for milking cows. It's extremely old. Certainly at least c.1880 and possible well before that date. The base has three legs that are mortised through the thick slab of wood that supports the seat. Looking ... moredown on the top of this part of the stool. You can see that all three of the legs are mortised and tenon construction. Each was fitted with a small piece of wood, splaying the top portion of the leg and adding strength to the join. One tenon has an old nail through it. Each of the legs was hand hewn, you can see the axe marks clearly on them. One of the legs was replaced, but many years ago, it has a more rough surface and there is no old paint on that one. The other two have a smooth feel to the surface, and you can still see and feel the axe marks. The seat is made from one solid piece of oak. Again all hand hewn. It's quite wide and oval shaped measuring 12" across in one direction and 11" across in the opposite direction. And it is dish shaped, raised at the sides and dips down low toward the center. The height of the seat portion varies. From wear and use, depending on where you measure, it is anywhere from 3" to 2-3/8" high. Lots of wear visable and old paint around the canted sides. The seat rests upon the slab section that holds the legs and you can see the wear to the wood where they have rubbed against each other over many years. A hand carved

1700's Antique Primitive Chinese Peasant Stool (SALE SALE)
This Circa 1700's antique Chinese peasant stool was beautifully constructed using mortise and tenon joints and has absolutely wonderful aged wood patina. We believe the wood is elm. Though we are not sure, and the patina is rich with character. A long time ago there was repair done to one of the legs using a hand forged nail; the repair is a piece of history in itself. The stool is sturdy and comfortable and has age appropriate wear. The peasant stool is 21" tall on the ends and dips to 20 1/4" in the middle. The seat is 8 1/2" wide X 15 1/4" length. A Victorian-Primitive. That's what we'll call it. The stool appears to be made from a plank with 4 boards nailed to it to add thickness. It's about 1 3/8" thick and has little or no padding under the fabric. Measures 9.75" X 14" and 8.5" tall. Iron legs have no breaks or damage. Fabric is dusty and could use cleaning. STOOL TREE BRANCHES TWIG WOOD WIRE RIVETS VTG PADDED RUSTIC PRIMITIVE TRAMP ART?
For sale we have a very unique small tree branch and reclaimed wood stool that measures 12 inches by 11 inches on top and is 10 1/4 inches high. This definitely was handmade. As you can see a lot of detail went into it with the twisted wire. Brass rivets and bent twigs. The seat is slightly padded and fabric covered. One of the decorative branches split and there's a blueish mark on top. I didn't notice it at first and honestly I still don't know if it's the fabric or something that got on the fabric. It's shown in the 2nd to last picture. Any questions please just ask. We ship within 24 hours unless it's the weekend. Very old. Three-legged stool. Maybe a shoeshine stool or a milking stool? Very heavy wood, with many nails. I'm sure there's a carpenter's term for this but I don't know it. the legs fit right into the seat, as seen in photos of the top side. I have shown photos of all sides of the stool. This is an Antique Wood Shuttle or Bobbin marked R.G. Pratt Co. And is numbered R1568 on the base and 105 on the handle section. The top section moves very smoothly in the curved slot next to the gear. The gear has all its teeth. The patina is fine with no cracks or other problems. And we went way out to a rural farming town called Pecatonica recently for their semi annual antique show& flea market- boy did I come home with some cool oldees- I have some very old primitives, and my usual wacky and often one of a kind uniques too! Here is a lovely. Primitive, colonial style table marked as being made by hand crafted by Manchester Wood, Designed By Louise Thompson, in Vermont. It is a side table, made of solid wood that I believe is pine(not totally sure, see what you think) with gorgeous natural knots in the wood that can be seen. It has a rectangular trench shape to it, with handles on either side for moving. Perfect to use as a side table, and you can see ... morein one of my last photos that the legs unscrew for shipping- which is what I will do. The top of the table measures 20" by 13 7/8" and has a 3" deep"trench. It stands 19 1/2" tall and weighs 7 1/2 lbs. It is in excellent solid and sturdy condition. It is strong, with no wiggle or jiggle. There's a fair amount of wear to the finish, scratches, scratches, scrapes, finish wear spots- on the edges, legs and inside of the trench expecially, but seen all over too. Please supersize and look at all. I think that's all part of the story of thie beauty, though- I wouldn't change a thing, but a coat of polish or even finish would minimize all greatly.
