It is 1 5/16 in. 3.5 ... morecm) in diameter by 7/16 in. tall. The top displays a beautiful picture of Victorian lovers in a secluded glade, surrounded by silver filigree work and blue enamel. Hinge and lid fit nice and tight. The inside is gold washed. Bottom inside is marked: Made in Austria, 409, Sterling Silver" and is accompanied by a small hallmark. Top inside lid is impressed with"409" The enamel is a beautiful blue color and is in overall good condition with normal wear and light abraision consistent with its age. There are two small"bruises" to the enamel along the top outside edge at 11:00 and 4:00. They are small and hardly noticeable. I have inclued several images of the top in an attempt to show them. Please look closely at the images. This is a really nice little piece that I bought years ago from a nice Texas estate.

Early American Reed and Barton Pewter Teapot Birdspout Handle Circa 1835-1836
Up for auction an early American pewter teapot unusual shape. With birds spout and wood handle. Marked 1505 Reed and Barton 5. I contacted the folks at Reed and Barton and they said.it is from 1835-1836 and its a lead free teapot. The teapot has some wear and tear and would make a nice decorative piece in a country kitchen or sitting on top of a fireplace mantle. The wood top is cracked and the screw underneath is loose. I have provided some closeups. It may have taken a finial? The handle is slightly loose from years of use and a few small areas of paint loss which can easily be touched up. On the top inside handle there is a small area where a little wood is missing. The lid to the body does not seat perfectly and perhaps. Due to heat expansion. It does not appear,to be out of round. Old Antique Northern Plains Indian Sioux Inlaid Catlinite & Pewter WAR CLUB
A superb 19th century Sioux Ceremonial War Club. Double pointed skull cracker 7" long. Is nlaid with pewter and catlinite geometric inlays. Club in near perfect condition with no cracks or missing inlay and is simply spectacular. Very sturdy with no issues. It has angular inlays along both sides of stone with alternating light& dark catlinite trapezoids all bordered with pewter or lead. The stem is equally wonderful with beautifully beaded handle 21" long& beaded in alternating bands of indigo white& orange. Stone wrap is elaborately beaded with crosses& stripes on fancy scalloped leather& trimmed with white beads. BEADS ARE ALL GLASS w/ NO MISSING OR LOOSE BEADS. It has rawhide over wood and sinew tied& the end has a 3" leather drop with beaded trim. This awesome war club that comes from a Wisconsin ... morelocal private collection that I am honored to feature. The collector also had some pieces that he had in a Fond du lac. WI Museum. Up for your consideration is this very nice Beer Stein. Made by Domex, Made in Germany. This Stein appears to have been made for AVON. The Stein is in very nice condition, no chips or cracks. The glass was made in Italy according to the box. The pewter lid was made in Germany, has some marks, but not bad at all(please see photo 8) The Stein measures just over 6 inches tall and 6 1/4 inches with the lid. The bottom measures approximately 3 3/4 inches in diameter, while the mouth measures 3 inches in diameter. There is an etched design of eagles, pine trees, mountains and clouds. The lid has an eagle as well with what looks like wheat and other various designs around its top. The Stein weighs approximately 1 lb. 15 oz. holds approximately 16 fl. oz. The Hellcat was an erstwhile rival of the faster Vought F4U Corsair for use as a carrier based fighter. However. The Corsair had significant issues with carrier landing that the Hellcat did not, allowing the Hellcat to steal a march as the Navy's dominant fighter in the second part of World War II, a position the Hellcat did not relinquish. Up for auction is this 1989 The Cobblers Sculpted This Limited Edition Pewter"MUSHROOM" is by Christopher Nigel Lawrence Christopher Nigel Lawrence: born 1936. Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths. Born in Cumberland then moved to Essex where his scout master was Norman Vander who arranged a factory visit. At 13 he decided he wanted to be a silversmith and his father gave him a workshop at the bottom of the garden. At 15 he was an apprenticed to C J Vander as a tray maker and flat hammer man. Studied at the Central School of Arts and Crafts. London. When he was 21 he moved to R E Stone where he worked for 2 years with many fine craftsmen as everything here was hand made and he learnt how to hand raise with the hammer. He later spent 8 years as Gerald Benney's workshop manager ... morebefore setting up by himself, again in a small garden workshop in the late 1960's. Four months later he opened his own design studio and workshop in Leigh-on Sea and as things improved he employed 9 silversmiths. Following the recession he closed the workshop and spent more time designing and making himself rather than just managing a larger business. He moved to Southend and again had a workshop in his garden. He went on to win 28 prizes in the Goldsmiths' Craft Council competitions and 3 Jacques Cartier Memorial Awards. In 1973 he held a one-man exhibition at Goldsmith's Hall when Graham Hughes said"it was his silver tableware that astonished visitors. During the 1970's he also did some design work for his old employer C J Vander. In the mid 1970's he produced some limited edition pieces for Jean Renet, 1 Old Bond Street, London following a one-man exhibition in 1970. Lives in Essex and is a member of the Institute of Professional Goldsmiths.
