A great-looking large wooden wall plaque of the Apollo I(1) mission emblem. 15˝ in diameter and 3/8˝ thick(there is a dollar bill present in some of the photos to help visualize scale) Details relating to its age and manufacturer are unknown to me but I've seen similar Apollo mission plaques in photos with the respective crew or that were hung within NASA facilities so it is likely a vintage item. It's in fine condition with some minor nicks to the painted finish. See photos for greater detail. This is an Antique/ Vintage Arts and Crafts/ Mission Wooden Wall Shelf. The wood has a dark stain/ finish. It looks to be like it is probably oak but I do not know for sure. The piece looks to me like it is original to the Arts& Crafts era and we will guarantee your satisfaction in that regard. The shelf is very well made with half joints or similar. A testament to the quality and further suggestive that the piece is of the period. Please review the condition section regarding a damaged place on the shelf. The overall maximum dimensions are about 8 1/4" wide x 9 3/4" high. The back panel is about 3/4" thick. And the maximum overall depth represented by the shelf is 4 1/4" the shelf and center panel are about 5/16" thick. Condition As found the curved triangular support for the shelf has the a bit over half of ... morethe piece that runs along the underside of the shelf broken off and missing. This is shown in a closeup photo marked with arrows. You can also compare the two brackets in the other photos to help assess this condition issue. The piece is offered as found with respect to this issue for repair by the buyer. Or for use as is. With the wood being so dark, you may find that depending on where and how high you display the shelf this issue may not be overly noticeable. That determination is left strictly up to the buyer's assessment. We considered this issue when price the shelf and would otherwise set the price higher.
