Featured in this auction is a really beautiful. Vintage Rookwood Pottery flower or cabinet bowl. The piece has an undulating, wave-like design encircling the bowl. This bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks, some light overall crazing and no repairs. This piece is approximately 2-3/4" tall, 4" wide at the rolling rim opening and 5-1/2" wide at the shoulder. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 974C(an early design) and the production year XIX(1919) This gorgeous, thick glaze is a matte mauve with a hazy blue drip and a curdled green overspray. It's a really beautiful effect. This bowl is very clean both inside and out but does show some gentle use in the form of glaze pinholes and minor scratching. Up for auction is this Desert Sands Pottery Arts& Crafts vintage mission swirl design Salt or Pepper shaker. They feature a vibrant color combination in an amazing swirl pattern. The shaker is 3" inches tall and 2.25" inches in diameter. Desert Sands Pottery was started by Arthur Evans in Boulder City. Nevada, and produced pottery from the 1940s. When he passed away in the 1960's his son Ferrell produced pottery in Barstow. This shaker is in excellent original condition no chips or cracks. Vintage old horse hair rope Mission Bell collector cowboy Arizona, California
For sale is an old horse hair rope with tassels. It has been in my family for about 60 years that I know of. It was given to my mother by one of her uncles who lived in Arizona. California and Oregon. He told us it was a mission bell rope. There are five rows of tassels on one end and one tassel on the other end. He passed away in the mid to late 50's and was born in the late 1800's There is some damage to the tassels. It looks like two are missing in the bottom row and one is missing in the third row from the bottom. There is a frayed area shown in the pictures. There is tape around two places on the rope and I have not removed the tape, but can't see that it is holding anything together or the purpose of the tape.
