For all those dedicated to collecting ICONIC& Antique Kitchen Glassware- made by a well known maker of the day- SNEATH GLASS CO- originally as the Tiffin Glass Co. Founded in 1889, purchased by the Sneath Family& others in 1892- and began production then. until 1952. Sneath was initially known for their production of railway lantern globes and founts BUT then became RENOWNED for glasswares that they produced for travelling kitchen cabinets(Hoosiers" due to their ICONIC Partnership with the Hoosier Manufacturing Co. Offered here are TRUE treasures! THREE. Matching, MISSION Pattern; HOOSIER CUPBOARD SPICE JARS- in MOST excellent condition. ALL jars are highly glossy, shiny and clean. The jars have a bit of roughness on their inner edges, as one might expect. One jar has a chip out of the top, threaded edge- which cannot be seen ... morewith the cap in place(which fits securely) and two chips out of the jar's side- which is unusual so may be from glass bubbles which may have broken out. The colour of this jar is more straw-yellow than the other two. Each jar has its original tin cap(minor dings) all caps fit well and securely. These jars are heavy with a thick amount of glass at the base. Each jar is of the MISSION PATTERN design- this pattern is a series of vertical ribs then a flat space which continues around each jar. Each jar has a"label-flat" which is a flattened. Rectangular area designed to affix a label. These jars each measure 4 1/4" in height x 2" across the base x 1 1/2" across the top opening. All of these jars are embossed on the base with a Double-Encircled"S" these are the early production pieces) which was SIGNIFICANT! The Sneath Glass Co eventually decided to discontinue embossing their products with their WELL KNOWN BRAND LOGO/STAMP to save mold cleaning time. Which also helped their molds last longer. UNFORTUNATELY- this decision did not allow their brand to be promoted AND allowed their direct competitors to make similar products now NOT DISTINCT from

This hand-shaped and hand-painted vase comes from Yugoslavia. As stated on the bottom. It is a traditional shaped vase in shades of green which from the top down is a light shade of green and blends to a very deep green. This has hand-painted tole flowers in purple and white with orange centers. It is made of red clay, and has a very heavy salt glazed with plenty of texture. This vase is perfectly shaped. And has a wide mouth. This measures approx. 8-1/2" tall with a circumference of 15" at the widest point. The mouth opening is 3-1/2" in diameter. This vase is free from cracks and chips. There is a few spots of missing paint. Most of which are among the bottom base. On the body of the vase I notice 5 pin-size spots of missing glaze, this is where the heavy salt glazed has come off as the small salt bumps are raised out from ... morethe vase. These areas do not affect the look or use of this vase, and it does display nicely and would only be noticed upon close inspection. These small spots could easily be covered with a dark furniture stain if preferred. This is marked on the bottom. This vase weights 1 pound 5 ounces. Please see the pictures for all of the details. Antique Child's desk and chair. Mission Style. Desk measures 21" wide x 13.5" deep x 26.5" tall. Writing surface at 21.5" Chair is 21" tall and the seat is 9.75" wide x 9.875" deep at a height of 10.5" The hutch at the top of the desk measures 16.5" wide x 5" tall x 2.25" deep. The hutch is loosely attached to the desk with a two screws and four short nails. Would work well for displaying dolls or stuffed animals.
