So there is some water staining of the interior canvas, and it has a slightly musty smell that has improved as it's aired out. It's completely dry now. Overall in sturdy shape, r etaining original varnished and painted surface. Framed with original bentwood supports. One leather handle is missing, the other is broken. Slight warp to front and a couple of tears to canvas that don't really take away from the appearance. Looks like someone tried to break into it at some point; the locks are not functional, but may be restorable. Antique Vintage Mission Arts & Crafts Hanging Slag Glass Ceiling Light Lamp
This auction is for a vintage Arts and Crafts period hanging ceiling light. The metal appears to be brass and the glass panels are heavy slag glass in the caramel swirl color. The light is offered in its as is condition and here is the description. It is wired with the old fabric cord wire cover. And it will definitely need to be rewired. It is left in its as found dirty condition. And it will need to be cleaned by the new owner. Lastly. The three sides of the light fixture have the original slag glass panels which are in intact condition without any cracks or breaks. The fourth side of the light however. Is missing its original glass panel. The good news is though. That the previous owner has provided two separate pieces of the exact color and type of antique slag glass for replacement. These two smaller panels will fit exactly on the inside ... moreof the lamp. And because of the vertical metal section creating the four squares on each side of the lamp, it will not show from the outside that this one side has indeed two pieces of glass on the inside instead of one. The only slight issue is. That the new owner will have to put something inside the metal bottom grooving of the lamp, inside of which these two pieces of glass will be sitting, in order to raise it a bit, so that the new pieces of slag glass fit and cover the entire opening. This is because the two new(old) pieces of slag glass are slightly shorter than the other glass panels. If the new owner would rather use one complete slag glass panel to complete this side. Then the slag glass would have to be 6 7/8" long X 5" wide. We tried to show this detail in some of our pictures where one can see the new glass inserts as they would look if they are not raised slightly. Please feel free to ask questions. As we understand that this is quite complicating and we are not sure if our description explains everything clearly. Well here it is at long last. The second most expensive item I've ever listed on ebay. And that's saying a lot. I've sold pieces for $2.500 or so, but never anything as expensive as this. It's an antique polychrome mission basket. The person who had it thought the red and black rattlesnakes were lightening. It was snapped up by an experienced collector who knew instantly that they were really snakes. This is not Navajo made. We know for sure because the Navajo didn't like rattlesnakes, and thusly, wouldn't incorporate them into their designs. So more it's West Coast Mission. Late 1800's to turn of the 19th Century. Super fine condition. I had it appraised at $10.000. Museum quality. Grass weaving is super fine and tight. No flaws. 15.5" wide by 4.5" tall. One of a kind. Irreplaceable. Then you know that there is an angle adjustment at the back of the blade that can help inexperienced players stay upright while learning by adjusting the height of the back of the blade. The FUEL 120 series is the top of the line with an extremely protective skate boot, much more so than the lower numbered Fuel skates, so there's very little chance of your skater taking a painful shot in the foot.
