This vintage chair is in very good condition for it's age. Believe it to be a 70's piece. Tag underneath is Edward Axle Roffman. It is a powder blueish/grayish velvet with no tears or rips but it does have some discoloration on the ends of the arms and light discoloration on the right side near the bottom. The back rest cushion has no stains but does have some wearing. Please see images. The wearing is on both sides of the cushion. The chair sits on a square base and the caps do need to be replaced as seen in images. Very nicely preserved unrestored vintage chair. Some rubs in spots- but nothing really noticeable at all. Chair moves back into 2 reclining positions- see pics. When closed the flip out foot rest does not stay totally snug against the bottom of the chair- but does stay back in the position that you see it in. Might need some slight adjustment. Very long and low with undulating asymmetrical back which seamlessly flows into a chaise lounge. This sofa is a one piece design with a recessed plinth base that gives it a floating appearance. Mid century. Danish, modern, retro- beautiful three piece mid century sectional sofa and walnut corner jax table. I have not found a label but appears to be Craft Associates, Adrian Pearsall. Original velvet fabric(see cherry pattern) in GREAT condition with no tears. Very comfortable and stylish. A 32"x32" walnut spider leg/jack corner table is also part of the set. All pieces are in great condition for their age and are very sturdy. The fabric is crushed Velvet, there are no stains; just 2 tears as you can see in the photos that could be easily repaired. The real deal Milo Baughman number 74 Recliner Chair for Thayer Coggin. I bought these chairs several years ago and had them completely reupholstered with a beautiful white fabric and black buttons. These chairs were designed by Milo Baughman in the late 60s for premiere interior design/furniture company Thayer Coggin. These specific chairs were manufactured by Thayer Coggin in the early 70s and are in great condition for their age. I had the chairs reupholstered in 2012. The fabric was purchased at a high-end fabric shop in Myrtle Beach(Knotting Hill Interiors) A nice patina has developed on the chrome in only a few places. This is a great chrome tubular rocking chair. It is not marked. But has the look and quality of Milo Baughman pieces. It has a very heavy and strong chrome tubular frame which supports the angled chair creating a floating look. There are no weld marks that you see with lower quality pieces. The chrome is in great condition. Shiny and free of any rust or pitting or scratches. This is in such great condition, I think it must have sat unused for years. Underneath the rocker arms are felt strips to protect wood flooring. It is very comfortable and rocks easily. Both chairs are in all original sturdy condition, however the upholstery will need to be replaced. vintage MOD midcentury modern upholstered club LOUNGE tub CHAIR Milo Baughman style Greater Chicagoland-area local pick up/delivery only(Saint Charles. IL- Far west Chicago suburbs) UP FOR AUCTION: A vintage upholstered tub chair in the style of Milo Baughman. While perhaps the color of the upholstery- I can best describe it as a funky. Mod drab olive green- is maybe a little hard on the eyes, the chair otherwise, I think, has the most fantastic bones. Wonderfully understated, stylish, I could see this chair working with tastes from art deco to shabby chic. It's a largish-sized chair- and is superbly comfortable. It looks to have hardwood framing and hand-tied springs. It's a tank- it weighs just a bit under 70 pounds. I can't find any markings to indicate maker or age. The quilt shown in one of the photos isn't included in ... morethe auction- it's just to give you an idea how the chair would look with some kind of cover thrown over it. CONDITION: It's solid and sturdy-it's a tank. I'd planned to get it reupholstered or get a slipcover made for it. But didn't get to it, and realize I won't have room for it(I love this chair! I think the material/padding under the upholstery fabric seems to be in great shape(the cushion seems in great shape) and the design seems to me to suggest most of the reupholstery would involve using flexible tack strips. So maybe not so labor-intensive, so maybe not too expensive a job) Flaws: 1) The upholstery fabric has wear in areas. Especially at the arms, where you'd expect it. Some loss of pile/fabric and/or lightening. And it looks like some overall soiling at the top back center, again where you'd probably expect it. I went over this- cleaned it to the best of my ability with a home carpet/upholstery cleaner when I first bought it- then threw a quilt over it. You'd probably want to slipcover or reupholster it. 2) The chair originally had wood legs. Which(as I acquired the chair) had been cut down, and casters added(photos) The black dust
