On Antique wood and plaster scroll leg stand. It is obviously very old but I dont know the exact date, it is approx 1870. The approx size is. Height on stand: 2ft 5" or 73cms, height of stand: 9.5ins or 24.5cms. Width of vase at widest point is approx 1ft 1"or 34cm. The main Jar is lovely condition. The neck has been stapled with 6 staples and it appears a very clean repair which would restore I think quite easily. The lid has internal staple repair but they dont appear on the outside and look to be there for hairline repair. Overall a very Impresive Piece. I dont know if the base is for it but it looks very good on it. IT WILL HAVE TO BE FOR COLLECTION ONLY BECAUSE OF THE SIZE AND WEIGHT.

Antique Imari Royal Crown Derby Gilded Cabinet Plate, Handpainted #SE255
On offer is a beautiful large cabinet plate made in England by Royal Crown Derby. It is a rich Imari design with lots of hand painting and gilding. I am not an expert on Royal Crown Derby marks but the piece looks to be from the early 1900's. The plate has a diameter of 260mm and is in great condition with no chips. Cracks, crazing or repairs. This is an old Imari style souvenir of Prospect Point at Niagara Falls. Shaped like tea pots. They have plastic plugs in bottom. They both still sport the original stickers from manufacturer. A Quality Product Made In Japan. The salt shaker's is readable. The pepper is not. They are decorated with picture of the falls. The scene is then surrounded by High relief decorative painted lines in the Asian Imari style. They need cleaned. They are about 2.5" tall. And 3.75" from handle to tip of spout. Vintage 12" Hand Painted Oriental Japan Porcelain Plate Plaque Imari? Flowers
This wonderful decorative plate is covered with a cart and loads of flowers. It is a VERY heavy plate. And also a very large plate. It is about 12" in diameter. The colors used are cobalt blue, pink, yellow, and gold on a white background. It features gold edging. The style of the work suggests that perhaps it could be Imari Ware. It is not marked Imari anyplace on the plate. But I don't read Kanji either. It does have the SAME kanji as other Imari plates that I saw. It does look like there was another paper tag on the back that is gone, except for the"glue" mark.pic 5) On the back. A paper tag says JAPAN, with blue Japanese kanji alongside. It also has decorative leaves with scrolling blue coloration. You can see the two holes on the back of the plate to use to string some wire into so one can hang it on the wall. This is a Sometsuke imari ceramic dish from the late Edo Era(c. 1850) The sometsuke(underglaze blue) technique. Of painting a design in cobalt-based pigments on a white porcelain base and coloring it in vivid indigo, was perfected in Japan during the mid Edo Era(1700's) It is all hand made and is a high fire ceramic for lasting durability. This one of a kind imari ceramic tea cup dates to the late Edo era(c. 1850) Signed by the Japanese Edo era artist. Seizan(see last picture) It is made of a high fire ceramic for strength and durability. It is designed with a hand painted multi color glaze known as akai-imari. The design is that of a phoenix seen on two sides as well as the inside of this tea cup. At one time there was a gold rim. Because the gold firing is the most delicate, most of it has been lost over nearly two centuries of loving use. This tea cup measures 3" 8 cm) in diameter and about 2 1/2" 6.5 cm) tall. This is a vintage imari sakazuki(sake cup) The inside of the cup features a hand painted design of a golden phoenix surrounded by cherry blossom petals flying over a cherry blossom.
