This county ... moremap of Huntingtonshire shows the early road system. The map is divided into Hundreds and displays interesting detail including the locations of buildings. Rivers, bridges and parks. The city of Cambridge in Cambridgeshire is located at right. There is an attractive drape-style cartouche and three distance scales. Sold by Abel Swale, Awnsham& John Churchil. Morden was one of the first English cartographers to show longitudes measured from the meridian of St. Paul's Cathedral(shown in degrees at the bottom of the map) and time in minutes measure locally from the sun(shown at the top in Roman numerals) The roads on his maps are based on Ogilby's earlier survey. The Britannia was first published by historian William Camden(1551-1623) in 1586. After the publication of the final edition of Britannia in 1637. The work was not published again until 1695 when Gibson revised and translated the text from the original Latin and included fifty maps, mostly of the English counties, prepared by Robert Morden, replacing the outdated maps of Christopher Saxton. This map is from the subsequent edition of 1722. The condition is good for the age. But does have minor damage. Small tear on edges and faint discoloration on centerfold. It has been stored rolled up. Please refer to the pictures. Enjoy it.

The glass bowl is one of the nicest that I have seen. It has fabulous Enamel Decorations, of leaves and floral detailing. It measures approx 12-1/2" diameter. It is in Excellent Condition- I would call it perfect albeit a most minor flat spot on the rim that appears to be a manufacturing nuance, not damage. I have looked at this with a magnifying glass and it is obvious after observing this first hand that it is not a chip but a flat spot somehow done during manufacture. Although extremely difficult to view, I have a pic of the area shown in my last pic. The frame is in Excellent Condition. Made of Quadruple Silver Plate by the Wilcox Silver-Plate Co. It stands approx 10-3/4" tall and approx 12-3/4" across. Both the decorated bowl and the Silver-Plate frame are gorgeous. The item comes direct from the collection of an area advance collector. Sold to me when settling her estate. The underside of the bowl bears a sticker that either she attached or was the sale price back in the day. The glass is in very good estate condition with no damage or repairs found. There are a few dark rub marks from the silver-not excessive and most came off with ... morea bit of silver polish. The quadruple silver plated frame is a pretty flower and scroll design. It was made by the Aurora Silver Plate Manufacturing and is numbered"805" Overall measurement is 8 1/2" high and 3 1/4" across at the opening. The bowl fits perfectly and I believe it is an original. Antique Still Life Print in a Beautiful Oak Frame Arts and Crafts Era
This is an antique still life in a beautiful oak frame. The entire thing is 23.5" x 13.50" and the frame is 2" wide. The print is in good condition but it is just a slight bit wavy in spots. It is not noticeable behind the glass. The frame. Which is my favorite part was in really good condition, but when I was taking these pictures I noticed a little chip on one corner, not visible from the front, only if you look directly at it from the side. I am going to take a picture of it but I am having trouble with my camera right now. If I were to keep it I would cover it with a wood stain pen. 1877 Chikanobu triptych Woodblock Emperor Meiji Bright Colors Wonderful Frame
For sale is a framed 3 panel(triptych) Meiji woodblock by Toyohara Chikanobu(1838-1912) It is beautifully framed and has amazing colors. I bought this about ten years ago from the estate sale of a collector in Washington DC. Take a look at the photos and video to get a sense of this great work of art by a Japanese master(please note that there are a few glare spots in the photos) The scene. Called“Nobility Taking in the Evening Cool” is an oban tate-e triptych showing the Emperor Meiji and two ladies of his court relaxing in a moonlit setting and was created in 1887. You can see a waterfall in the background and a full moon in the sky, peaking over a tree branch. I’ve had this on my walls since I bought it, but my wife and I recently bought 4 Toshi Yoshida prints and the only place to hang them was where the Chikanobu was. Antique 1853 Girls School Sampler Alphabet Nail Wood Mounted Frame UNIQUE Rustic
Up for auction is this very unique and rare piece of heirloom history. Fresh from an old estate this antique sampler is dated 1853 and features the alphabet in upper. Lower cases with numbers and colorful decorative flowers, keys, and other shapes. It is mounted by nails on the edges of the sampler onto an old wooden frame. Exceptional rustic piece with no repairs. Colors still come through and likely done by a young girl. Tight beautiful needlework. The piece does show signs of wear but the majority of it is intact. Vintage Antique Needle-Point Embroidery Sampler Picture, Folk Art Frame
Hello. Listed is an antique embroidery/sampler. In a beautiful, antique, folk art picture frame. Inside picture area measures 9 1/2" x 7 1/2" with the frame at 13 3/4" x 12 7/8" Sampler says HAPPY DAYS MAKE A HAPPY YEAR. It has some minor sun spots, but otherwise, in very nice shape. The frame is aged, with a few of the leaves having the tips missing, but is very solid, and actually deep, at over 1 5/16" thick.
