vintage Eastlake style door lock slide bolt
A vintage Eastlake style door lock slide bolt made of cast iron with a brass knob. The cast iron face plate is apr. 1 5/8 X 5 5/8 inches. The overall length with the rod extended to the locked position is apr. 11 3/4 inches. The brass knob has taken some abuse over the years. Several flat spots and slight downard bend to the knob. Several closeups showing the damage. The slide bolt still operates the way it should. Plenty of lighting was used to show as much detail as possible. This is a wonderful antique Victorian Eastlake 3-piece blue parlor set that includes a loveseat and two chairs. The loveseat is on wheels and the chairs have two wheels each. The loveseat is roughly 5' long x 27" wide x 38" tall. The material has faded and has a few spots. I did not see any rips. The backing needs to be re-tacked to the frame in a few places. The wood is in very nice shape with a chip in the front of one chair and only a few minor imperfections elsewhere. Please see pics. A wonderful reclaimed antique 32-inch door with beautifully carved details. Dating from the 1880’s. The top of the door features a flowing swag with a floral medallion at its center; below the half pane of glass is an unusual panel configuration with three small and simple inset panels perching above four panels with beautifully carved starbursts. An antique Victorian Eastlake brass/bronze door knob back plate made by F. C. Linde& Co. Kresskill N.J. circa 1885. White paint has been removed with some residue remaining. The plate has some bends, see photos. Plate can probably be straightened with care. Plate measures 5 1/4 inches long by 1 11/16 inches long with door handle receiver measures 5/8 inches in diameter. Actual mirror area is 19" x 59" Marble shelf measures 8" x 25" Oak is beautiful with no damage. Here for sale we have a rare Victorian Wall Magazine Holder. It has a Black Lacquer Ebonized finish over the hardwood. The top sides& bottom are all etch carved in Eastlake style. The center piece is hand painted Tole Painting on metal. The piece is in excellent As Found condition with only a few minor scratches to the side of the Tole Work. There are some scuffs on the wood. But it is just consistent with normal wear. There are no breaks or repairs. The hand painting on the tole metal is just lovely. This is all original finish. The hanger has a hold on the back where one can see it has been hung from its creation. The Hand Made piece was found in Eden Prairie Wisc and is a Rare Victorian piece to find in such original condition. The holder measures 17" tall by 15" wide it is 7" in depth when opened. Eastlake Back Plates These are Eastlake back plates made of metal. There are two matching back plates. Each one has a key hole and an opening for a door knob. The back plates are old and have an uneven patina. The dimensions are 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 3/8" Both back plates are in very good vintage condition. There is not any damage to the metal. Overall. They are all made of steel/iron and the hooks vary in length from 4 ½ inches long to 5 inches long. The collar is 2 1/8 inches across. 2 of the hooks are pitted but you can still see the designs and they are completely usable. The 3 rd. The(the one set aside) is in very nice plus antique condition.
