Antique apothecary scale. Eastlake furniture period circa 1870 to 1890? beautiful original finish and working condition, no damage. patina on brass is exceptionally nice and heavy construction. I could not find an obvious indication of manufacturer and did not want to disassemble to find out. I'm very picky and this came from my personal collection which I am now down-sizing. The three brass weights, 2lb, 1lb and 8oz are included and appear to be those that were originally used with this scale- brass color and patina are identical with weighing pans.

Eastlake- Hitchcock Style Description: This is a pair of antique Victorian shadow box picture frames that are an Eastlake-Hitchcock style. They measure approximately 14 1/8" tall. 12 1/8" wide, and 2 1/8" deep each. The glass panes measure approximately 9 3/4" long and 7 1/2" wide. The style"Eastlake" comes from Charles Locke Eastlake(1837-1901) who designed simple, yet beautiful frames in contrast with overly, ornate frames of the day. This frame is designed with different stepped layers that are alternately painted a lovely chocolate brown and gold. These wood carved, gold gilt frames are absolutely magnificent and would add warmth and beauty to any room. Condition: These antique frames are knicked and scratched in various ... moreareas. The frome includes its old wavy glass. It measures 13 by 15 by 2 3/8 inches. Overall and will accomodate an 8 by 10 inch picture. It is in good solid condition with minor chipping, edge and surface wear, and discoloration of the original lemon gold liner. The watercolor has some light foxing. lot antique Victorian Eastlake rim locks vintage catch latch lockset hardware
Nice pair of old Branford lock works rim locks for your consideration. One ornately patterned and are both cast iron. One marked Branford and the other marked BLW. The ornate patterned locks drive gear operates the latch mechanism and the secondary manual deadbolt slide operates with slide lever. I do know if the deadbolt slide works because there is no key. The matching patterned catch has a small corner cracked off however could be repaired nicely since it is not in the line of the design. Although could be used as is I suppose. I think the other lock with matching catch is missing some flat springs since the latch locking lever will not stay engaged. I as well do not know the condition of the deadbolt slide since this also has no key. Slides all look like they might be brass. Housings are cast iron. nice old couple of rim locks for repair ... moreor hard to find parts. Questions welcome other wise what you see is what you get. Offered for auction is this very nice circa 1870's-1880'sWalnut Victorian Eastlake style drop front secretary/bookcase. Top of secretary has a spindle like crown pediment over the glazed doors. Adjustable shelves for books or displaying glassware. This top part of the cabinet is removeable. The desk has a large carved design on the front of the fall front desk top and opens to reveal pigeon holes. Slots and two small drawers within the desk itself. The fall front provides a large writing surface. The desk portion sits over a full width single drawer with two half width drawers and a cupboard base w/ door underneath. All drawer fronts have applied rectangular panels with walnut burl veneer covering the entire panels. Drawers have wonderful molded and stamped brass drawer pulls and back plates and all drawers, doors and fall front have ... morekeyholes with matching escutcheons and keys. We believe the mirror to be original to the piece which does have a minor amount of cloudiness in a few spots and the drawers feature period dove-tailed ends. This sideboard/ buffet does dis-assemble into 4 pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving. A beautiful. Fully functional platform rocker in excellent condition for its age. It has high-back styling with upholstered crest rail over four spindle trim. Other than 1 fairly large scratch mark which I have shown in the photo. The table is overall in very good condition for its age, with normal signs of aging, wear and use. The table stands approximately 25’ tall and measures 18” wide and 14” deep. As you can see from my feedback I take GREAT PRIDE in accurate descriptions especially an items condition. So please don’t be shy and let me know if I have made any errors in the description or this listing. I acquired a very nice selection of other 19 th and early 20 th century antiques and collectibles from this family estate. Lot antique Victorian Eastlake doorknob keyhole covers Vintage door key hardware
Nice lot of four antique Eastlake patterned doorknob keyhole backplates for your consideration. These are good reusable condition. Some very minor peening might be needed to straighten a couple of the edges. Most of the original copper Japanning is gone. Some residual cleaning will be needed for a new finish where there is some old paint and finish on them. Neck collars are tight for reuse and measure just shy of 3/4 of an inch. Plates measure 5 1/2 x 1 3/4 inches and are 2 inches ctr to ctr of the skeleton key barrel to the doorknob collar. Questions welcome otherwise what you see is what you get.
