The original brass head tacks are still present. When I acquired the chair it was still being used, so this is not some delicate antique.you can use it now. This measures(see below) Condition(on a scale of poor. Fair, good, very good, excellent) is very good antique condition. Wood is sturdy with nothing broken, appropriate condition for age with some rubs on the stained wood, scratches, that kind of thing. Tapestry fabric still very sturdy, a few areas where the threads have worn down, more wear and less color on the seat as would be expected from age. On the back of the seatrest there had originally been fabric covering that whole area, and only the remains are left now(you can see in the photos a little fabric remaining in the top two corners) Measurements 34" high 17" wide at arms seat. Fabric only- 13 1/2" square backrest. Fantastic. Impossible to find something similar item. Stands 12-5/8 tall with a sq base 4-3/4" The ball is approx. 5-1/4 in dia. Was obviously off an outside cast iron fence post,ther is rust pitting around the bottom edge where it was locked down and retained water in the gap. It does not detract from its awesome look. This book case is a beautiful and unique piece. It stands 51" H x 32 1/4" W x 10 1/2 D. Another 3 inches for the bottom decorative pieces. Originally it would have sat on another piece of furniture. This is a superb pair of antique cast bronze hinges in P. F. Corbin’s“Diagonal” pattern. Eastlake period design) dating from the 1890’s. These 4.5” hinges feature ornamented finials and a flowing floral design crossed with a diagonal band and bordered with leaves. The hinges are in clean damage free fully functional condition. antique Victorian Eastlake doorknobs hinges vintage screen door knob hardware
I have a lot of old patterned ornate door hardware for your consideration. Rarer hard to find iron design knobs utilize a flat drive rod as opposed to the standard square drive. It is hard to tell if the patterns match due to the amount of old residue. Paint and finish on the hinges. Hinges seem to work although there is quite a bit of wear to the hinge pin catch and subsequently there is a little play before engagement. Some might be able to spot weld a point to fill catch wear. Might work as is depending on your application although one could cut and drill out the existing ball pin and replace it if they wanted. These are in as found condition so, could use a good cleaning before display or reuse. Nice pair of unusual early iron knobs for any ones collection as well. I wish I knew more about this dresser but I don't. I bought it at an estate sale& it really is in excellent condition. It has 4 drawers total. 2 top& bottom& then 2 smaller ones along the the top. The drawers move smooth& the mirror& marble are in excellent condition. The marble is a redish brown color. The top is all carved wood. I have a nice old ornate thumb latch mortise lock for your consideration. Ornate floral geometric patterning consistent with its 145 year old age. Nice large chunky brass slide bolt. Lock face measures 4 9/16 x 1 1/8 x 1/8 inch thick. Depth of mortise cut from face plate to end of box(including 1/8 thick face plate) is 2 5/8. deep. Height for cut is 2 13/16 x 11/16 inches. Mortise will be slightly larger than box. Upon inspection looks all intact although there is some minor wear to the internal mechanism for disengagement of latch slide. 1/16- 1/8 inch) Works although it is slightly short of full recess. It looks that it could be repeened carefully for 100% functionality. Will work as is though. Nice old hard to find lock for your authentic vintage renovation or repair. An ANTIQUE( circa 1870) EASTLAKE- Ebonized- Chip Carved- DEEP WALNUT FRAME with Gilt Liner- The Frame measures 15" by 12 1/2" with an 10 1/4" by 8 1/4" opening( measured from the back) The frame depth is 3 1/2 inches. It's a beautiful frame. The Condition is Excellent with some minor age appropriate wear as can be seen in the photographs- Great Quality and Size with Square Nail Construction. They do have some light surface rust and paint residue on them. They need a good cleaning. Pair of antique Eastlake blue and white 9-1/4 inch plates. 1 inch deep Chinese green and white diaper with panels of geometric backgrounds with flowers, interspersed with black lined circles with 4 partitians and three partitions with branch of blossoms, bamboo and quince. Center has fan shaped panel with blossoming branch and 2 birds inside branch of cherry blossoms and one large scalloped flower with geometric design inside. White background with grey. And green with hand painted turquoise over edge and band in center. English mark indicating manufacturing date of 1879; crane with banner with Satsuma and BG& W inside. Several incised marks one with_ Walker. 18/22 and 2021 in ink. One light hairline on bottom of one plate. Stable.
