This is a charming original antique Eastlake style wall shelf It is heavily adorned with engraved designs and the fantastic paint is believed to be original mustard paint(but not sure- it Is glossy) is nearly 100% intact with just a few tiny chips The overall condition is very good with typical light wear from age and use. Some darkening to the finish from age, and a few small stains. The shelf is sturdy, solid, and well-built, but there is a small gap between the shelf top and the back panel that could probably be repaired with some glue and a few new screws or nails, and it seems perfectly useable as-is. Antique Eastlake Walnut Hand Carved Victorian Wall Newspaper Mail Holder
This is an Antique Eastlake Walnut Hand Carved Victorian Wall Mounted Newspaper Holder. The piece is 21” tall and 15 ¾” wide. The plaque is marked“102” on the back. Chains were used to replace the leather flaps that once held the flap in place. Evidence of the tack holes is shown in the pictures. The piece is in excellent aged condition. There are some hairline age cracks in the wood and one very small chip(see pictures) The adornment on the front with the pine cone may have been added by the original owner. The holder was acquired from an Antique Collectors Estate Auction.

This handsome 18 ¼” x 24” oil on canvas measures 24” x 30” in its original gilt and lemon gold frame and depicts a majestic Hudson River landscape with sprawling Town in the middle distance. The paint is stable and the work is very dirty having a puncture with loss lower right and scattered“speckle” losses in about the same place. This frame is in good condition with normal wear due to age. It is made up of 2 layers of chipped craved ebony with gold leaf inner boards and then the last layer is a stenciled lemon gold liner. The frame retains the original finish. Wavy bubble glass and wooden back. It is put together with cut nails and all the corners are tight. This auction is for the frame. I can remove the picture before shipping. You are bidding on an antique wood picture frame that is believed to be Eastlake. It measures 16.5"x19.5" outside and has a burled wood inset that has a carved deco design on all sides. The widest gold piece is made of something like a hard substance. Could be lead? Gesso? A sharp knife can scrape on it but it is hard. on the back where the pieces are fitted together, you can see the thin sliver of it making up the frame. The thin gesso is chipped on the outer gilt edge at the lower right. And on the upper left corner. The gilt is worn in several places along the edge, and there are several smaller chips on the interior gilt molding. There are a number of holes on the back from nails of various sized. They may be Eastlake but I am not that knowledgeable about these things. On the reverse side there is a marking on the longer one is 336, on the short, wider one it is marked TOP Thin and 334 1/2. Onw measures 5" x 2" and the other one 2 1/2" x 4" I do not have a match for either one of these.

Each knob is made of solid, heavy, thick, cast bronze-not plated iron. The pair comes with 1 standard 1/4" thick spindle(connecting rod) and 2 setscrews. Each knob has sunken center. And an intricate pattern on both front and back sides. The designs are complemented by a rich, dark patina, which we opted to leave. The knobs had some paint, which we carefully removed without disturbing the patina, however, there is still some green paint on one of the knobs, and a few other small spots of paint that we couldn't remove without compromising the patina. PIERCE CARVED EASTLAKE VICTORIAN WALNUT PANEL / CREST
This is a very nice pierce carved antique Victorian walnut panel. It is solid walnut as opposed to a veneer. It measures 20" wide x 5" high in the center. The finial at the top appears to have been reattached at some point, otherwise it is in good condition. It was originally used to hold sheet music on an organ or piano. Solid Brass pattern is unknown 2-1/4" in dismeter raised pattern on both the front and back of the door knob. The doorknob stem diameter that fits inside rosette or door plate: slightly less than 3/4" Uses 1/4" shank and fits standard square shank mortise locks. Check out my other items!
