Six Victorian Eastlake Copper-plated Iron Drop Handled Drawer Pulls
Here are six Victorian-era drawer pulls with drop handles. An online store offering reproduction antique drawer pulls refers to this style as"William& Mary" To my eye they represent Eastlake-inspired design. The copper-plated tin( back plates are 2-1/4" across. Extending from the back plate is a 3/4" shank. From which is suspended a 2" x 1-1/8" iron pull. Each pull has a 3/4" mounting screw. Antique CAST IRON Desk Paper Weight Clip Letter Holder - AESTHETIC Eastlake
From a local estate- Nice old cast iron paper weight clip- or letter opener made from cast iron with an Aesthetic Movement or Eastlake design. Measures about 4 3/8 long. Can lay on a desk or has a hole on the back side for hanging. It is in very good used condition. I did find that the right side of the clamp closes tighter than the left. It holds a single sheet of paper a bit loosely and does better on 2 or more sheets. I didn't wash this and on the inside recesses there is a bit of dust. You can see a bit of wear to the finish from use on the lower section but it really isn't obvious and doesn't take away from the piece. Very nice piece for your collection! This particular specimen was made bearing its ROGERS SMITH& CO. trademark. Featuring an egg-shaped vessel with of course a huge collar, feet shaped with embossed floral geometric Eastlake forms, enhancing as well handle and spout, a showy Eastlake looped bolted handle beginning with two notched by little spheres bars on each side below its collar and ending with an arrow point-like detail, enhanced on both sides with total masterpiece Eastlake ... morehand-chased design, An antique estate piece in a very good to an excellent condition, showing at the most a spot of wear in the back below its collar. This splendid 19th century Victorian table features amazing carved details in the rich cherry wood. We believe this table to have its original finish and offers a beautiful detailed carved table apron with drop carvings on all four sides.Four ring turned& tapered fluted legs with a center display shelf surrounded by a pierced carved gallery and scroll shelf supports. ANTIQUE EASTLAKE INCISED EBONIZED & GRAINED FRAME 14X16PRINT GIRL VIOLIN & DOGS
ANTIQUE VICTORIAN EBONIZED& INCISED WOODEN FRAME WITH PRINT OF A LITTLE GIRL PLAYING THE VIOLIN. AND 3 DOGS HOWLING TO THE MUSIC. Outer edges of the frame are ebonized. And the inside has grain painting and two gold tone edges around the opening for the glass. Outer measurements of the frame are 13 ¾ inch by 15 ¾ inch. The frame is wood. Covered with a gesso, then“EBONIZED” to go along with many furniture pieces of that era. The black gesso has been carved to give an incised(carved into the ebonized wood into the white gesso) geometric design in each of the 4 corners– the frame has Eastlake Victorian feeling to it. LOTS OF DETAILS ABOUT THE FRAME– I HAVE PROBABLY MADE IT SOUND WORSE THAN IT IS. BUT I WANT YOU TO KNOW THE CONDITION BEFORE YOU BID. The design on each of the 4 corners is in pretty good condition- a few spots are ... moremissing. Especially the upper left corner. I have pictured each corner so you can see condition. The frame is solid– corners are tight– no wiggles. Brown graining is in good original condition. Gold tone layers have some discolorations and a little missing– see pictures. The frame with print. Glass, and cardboard backing weighs just less than 4 pounds. The ebony finish on the outer edges has touch-up’s to the black finish over the years. On the wall the frame looks fine– has a nice presentation. But up close you can see where parts of the gesso have come off and have been touched up with black finish. The vintage print is from the 1970– 1980’s– a copy of an antique Victorian print. Print is in good condition. No stains, no tears. A very sweet subject– the little girl playing the violin. Dogs howling, and a kitten that looks as though it is screeching at the whole thing. Outer measurements of the frame are 13 ¾ inches by 15 ¾ inches. Inner opening of the frame for the glass is 8 inches by 10 inches. From the side the frame is 3 inches deep. From the front it is 3 ½ inches wide. ALL SALES FINAL. As you can see in the photo's the wood pedestal base has two marble tops. The wood base is in overall good condition and structurally sound. The varnish and wood does have normal wear for its age. The pedestal legs have a detailed carved design and the center was hand spun on a lathe. Included are two newer marble tops that easily screw on. One measures 12" across and 1/2" thick. The other is 11" across and 3/4" thick with an inset. This one has a few dings on the underside along the outer edge. Nothing major. Victorian Eastlake Gold Filled Locket Watch Fob Book Chain Angel Wings
An antique gold filled locket with eastlake decorations and a hinge header with angel wings. Probably meant for wear on a more substantial piece like a book chain or a watch chain. With a photo a woman and child and a sweet little blonde curl of hair in the interior. Square portion measures approx 15/16" x 15/16" Total length with header 1 3/8" This has wear and loss to the gold plating, particularly at the edges. Circa 1850-1860 Victorian Eastlake Style Pier Hall Mirror
With all the richness of the mid 1800's Victorian era. We have an Eastlake style pier hall mirror. The top of the mirror has Gothic style gingerbread trim in two rows. The top middle of the mirror frame has double ornamental upside down finial carvings. The frame detail includes low relief and incised line carvings commonly found in Eastlake style. The mirror is flanked by smooth columns that look marbleized in dark wood and black. The mirror has been loved and used. The wood columns. Believed to be walnut, are worn and scuffed. The top left cornice is off and needs to be re-attached. The bottom ledge that the mirror sits on is missing 3/4 of the ledge; the missing piece measures 1 1/2 X 17. You are invited to bid on an ornate- ONE OF A KIND- carved panel(walnut or mahogany not sure) It measures approx 53 in. long. 10 1/2 wide and 1/2-5/8 in. thick. The center is highly carved(spoon carving) with detailed flowers and leaves across the entire panel. The carved portion measures approx 49 by 7in. This is a heavy piece, weighs almost 10 lbs. before packing. The panel edges are beveled to slip on adjoining panel(tounge& grove) and the beveled tounge has splits that can be glued or removed based on your intended usage. The outer edge also has several splits that do not effect the structure of the panel that can be glued for an invisable repair. This finely carved panel exemplifies the craftsmanship of days gone by. It has a rich patina with deeply carved leaf design& nicely beveled edges Approx measurements are 5 in. wide. 48 in. long and 2 in. thick at the widest point.
