Amazing vintage mid century tension lamp! The lamp measures 8 feet 2 inches when fully extended and compresses down to 7 feet 6 inches when fully compressed. When not in use the lamp separates into two sections for easy storage.The lights work great and are adjustable. Made of solid metal with a two tone red and tan paint finish. The lamp is in over all good condition. But does show some wear and signs of use. Workmanship and their designs were often penned by some of the most talented designers of the time from Edwin Cole to Tommi Parzinger, who penned the design for this floor lamp. This is a stunning design that utilizes large quantities of teak and brass. Combining them for a clean floor lamp with purist lines for a rich. Simple design. One of the nice touches on this design is an illuminated foot switch. Permitting the ability to find the lamp in the dark and switch it on. Floor switches were more common in European designs of the time. But ... morethe illuminated switch was another Parzinger touch that distinguished it from lesser floor lamps. The lamp has a fresh linen shade and a milk glass diffuser augmented by a perspex diffuser on top. Which insures that only soft. Filtered light will be cast across an interior. This is a beautiful Vintage 1950s Panther TV Lamp with planter. This was a very popular item back in the 1950s. Everyone had a TV Lamp on top of their TV. The ceramic still has a nice. Glossy glaze over this jet-black Panther. The power cord is good and the lamp lights up. This will be shipped without the bulb. The shade has some stains and wear. You will want to replace it with something that matches your décor. I doubt that it's the original. Same goes for the white plastic flowers. I think some green vines or grass would make it look more Jungle-like. There are no chips and no cracks. The felt has come off the bottom and can be easily replaced if need be. The black pottery area measures 14 in high, and 5 1/4 wide at its widest point. The metal part measures 3 1/2 in. the total height of each lamp is 17 1ne 1/2 in high. Up for auction is a wonderful mid century modern floating panel walnut wood clock made by Verichron. It measures 13" x 13" square x 2" deep. The metal clock face(looks like stainless steel but I am not sure) is raised above the black back panel. The walnut wood frames the clock. We're very excited to offer this RARE. VINTAGE STIG SANDKVIST, SWEDISH HAND-CARVED, DIVIDED TEAK NUT/CANDY DISH in the form of a FISH, with HEAD and TORSO COMPRISING the TWO BAYS. It measures 14 1/2" in length by 6 1/8" in width by 2 1/16" in height. Vintage pieces by Swedish designer Stig Sandkvist are extremely hard to find and there's not mistaking this divided teak bowl is by Sandkvist. With"SS" clearly carved into the teak base of the bowl to the right of the stamped"MADE IN SWEDEN" wood pressing. The bowl. As mentioned, is divided into two bays, one smaller and the other larger with a handle at the end. This sleek, curvilinear design and delicate, thin edges, give the piece a soft, elegant presence. It also looks like a natural form, that of a fish, with the smaller bay comprising the'head' ... moreand the larger bay comprising the'body' and the handle being the'tail. The Modernist depiction of fish in stylized forms was typical and fish, like the owl and cat, achieved iconic status among Modernist depictions of fauna in the natural world. Sandkvist's reference to a fish is a bit more stealth, with the form not being recognizable immediately. The teak bowl has great. Warm color and the surface and all edges of the piece are free from dings, chips, cracks or any other damage that would deter me from suggesting it was'near mint! Whether as a nut bowl or candy dish, you can assign it your own special task for your home. One thing for sure is, it's lines and gorgeous form, as well as it's beautiful color, with hues of honey, amber and chestnut, will let your guests know that you've really pulled out all the stops when it comes to entertaining! THERE IS NO DAMAGE TO THE REMAINING PARTS- ONLY DISTRESS TO FINISH FROM LONG. YEARS IN THE WEATHER. AND. ONE OF THE TUBES HANGS HIGHER THAN THE OTHERS DUE TO A BREAK IN THE CORD. WHICH WAS RE-TIED.
