For auction is one vintage contract pedestal table base from the Eames-designed Aluminum Group series. It is the larger. Heavier base for round or square tabletops 48" and larger. It is in excellent original condition, but is missing all four of the leveling glides. These can be found separately online, however. It has been thoroughly cleaned and polished and is ready for use. A gorgeous 40s vintage Sparton model 5653 radio in great condition and in a super desirable deep burgundy color with the coveted oval body! Features the Sparton original grille cloth also in excellent untouched condition; all parts appear original although I cant state the tubes are original. I slid out the chassis from the 13-inch wide plastic body to show the good condition and that all tubes etc are present. I have not tested or further taken apart this radio as it requires an AB battery system I dont have. No cracks or big gouges in the plastic body, there is one heat bubble on the bottom of the body but with no discoloration as shown in the pictures. This a fabulous set of Albrizzi fire tools. The condition of the chrome is quite good. Minimal scratches to the base. The tools look rarely used. If at all. Up for auction are 12 place settings(60 pieces) of solid brass flatware. I purchased these new I in Seattle over 30 years ago and have used them only for Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. They compliment my Danish Modern. Mid-Century, Eames era decor. They are in excellent condition with no scrapes or blemishes. As with all brass, they need polishing from time to time. The shading on the flatware in the pictures are reflections and not markings or blemishes on the brass. I have serving utensils in the same design(spoons. Up for auction today is this Cool Retro Futuristic looking vintage 50's Mirro-Matic Jolly Time Popcorn Popper. I purchased this last year at a local estate sale. The person who had it took very good care of this item as photos show. It has minimal wear inside and out. Not a ton of residue or stains, no dents, or major scratches. Just normal age wear on this popper. Still shiny and bright and the Jolly Time Logo is Perfect. I used this popper once because I had to see if it worked properly. Mid Century CURTAINS/DRAPES - (2) 46x56 Panels - Vtg 50s/60s Modern/Eames Fabric
A killer pair of vintage drapes. Very much in the 1950s/60s mid century style. The orange/brown/white color scheme goes well with much of the same decor from the era. The pattern is very psychedlic/modern/ etc. It also reminds me a bit of traditional Japanese art; like how they paint wind or clouds or water. The panels are in excellent shape overall. And appear to have only been hung a short period of time. No sun fading; the colors are still very bright. I think these panels were originally just large pieces of fabric, intended for any number of different uses. Someone has loosely stitched an opening at the top of the fabric for use as curtains. They simply folded over 3.5 inches of fabric to make an opening for a curtain rod. The stitching has come apart 9-14 inches on one side of one of the panels. For use as curtains, this loose stitching ... morewould need to be reinforced. If you intend to use these panel for some other purpose, then the un-stitching fun is just getting started! Each panel measures 45.5x52.5 inches. The hole for the curtain rod measures 3.5 inches long when laid flat. If the stitching for the curtain rod holes were to be removed. The colors are very vibrant. I have found no stains or holes. Each panel measures 35" wide and 29" long. The valances measure 46" wide and 10" in length. For your consideration is this pair of vintage. Danish birch side chairs with doweled backrests and sleek, curvilinear back splats. They have tapered, turned legs that are splayed open in a rather dramatic fashion, as if the chairs were a cat, recoiled and ready to pounce! They are fastened snugly to the undersides of the composite, laminated seat, covered in varnished birch veneer. The legs have protruding, machined bolts that screw into built-in, metal threaded receiving seats. The chairs are Danish'blonde beauties! They are both marked with a stamp press under the plank seat, MADE IN DENMARK, 76 2 4, with the logo(and slightly illegible, IHD/FEB/ They also have an affixed yellow, trilingual paper label for how to fasten the turned peg-legs into the metal threaded seats on the undersides of the chairs, so that the chairs will be sturdy ... moreand who's construction will be as intended, when fully reassembled. They measure 28" in overall height by 19 3/8W(seat) by 17" seat depth. The chairs measure 16 3/4" in height to the seat base. The varnished birch is in very good condition with only a slight bit of surface scuffing on the seats of both chairs. This would be expected from any period. Varnished chairs in original condition. The wear is only slight and not very noticeable even upon close examination. The very ends of the tapered solid birch legs have some moisture discoloration or slight staining of the varnish about a half-inch to an inch from the floor up the very bottom of the legs. Again, it is there but almost entirely unnoticeable.
