The base sits a tad lower than the standard H-base at a seat height of about 15.5 inches. Highly desirable collector's chair at a great price. As compared to a similar wire chair with the same color naugahyde pad(only bikini style with Eiffel base) which sold for $1,125 plus premium at an auction last year(see 12th photoset) This unique wall-saver base(so named because the rear legs extend further back. Thereby saving the wall from being scraped by the back part of the chair) has a distance of 21.75" between the front and rear legs. Overall great vintage condition with age-appropriate wear as depicted but structurally sound. The naugahyde cushion has minor superficial ... moreimperfections but is still soft(which is unsual for these seat pads from the'50s) The wire frame is intact and solid with no breaks or re-welds. Wire frame is made of gold tone metal with average wear. Clock face is in nice condition with gold colored hands and numerals on black background(one light scratch) Accessible by a glass hinged door. 8 day winding mechanism works great and starts ticking when wound. Key included is correct but not original to the piece. Back of clock is marked"GERMANY" and has an access door to adjust the speed slower or faster. Clock measures 21 inches tall x 13 inches wide with a 3 inches offset from the wall. Has been running in my home for about three weeks, and keeps perfect time! Vintage Welby Clock Company Brass Starburst Sunburst Atomic Eames Era Wall Clock Vintage Welby Clock Company. Vintage 8 spoke brass wall clock from circa 1959. Not a modern reproduction. Made in Germany. The clock measures a gigantic 31.5 inches from tip-to-tip, 6 inches across the face. All metal construction. Few condition issues. This was stored in an atic and hasn't been cleaned in ages. The spoke that it was resting on was bent slightly. I didn't try to straighten it and am selling it in as found condition. I didn't even clean it up. I only tested it with a new battery(it was stored without a battery. good thinking! There are also various nicks and scratches that may buff out, but again I didn't try. This vintage lampshade is about as perfect as it gets. It has no creases. Cracks, loose ties, and NO scorch or burn marks. All the hardware is tight and secure. All you have to do is put it on that favorite lamp which is missing a lampshade. The measurements are the top barrel measures 7 inches across. Bottom barrel measures10 inches across. This is not a large lamp shade so please read the measurements carefully. It is the perfect replacement lamp shade for end table or bedroom vanity. Pair Of Vintage Mid Century Modern Eames Herman Miller Plywood DCM Cowhide Chair
This Listing is for two Eames DCM cowhide chairs circa 1970. It seems that both came from the estate of the original owner who at one point started to refurbish them. But came up short. Both are in functional condition, but they need some work. It is possible that the eames chair with black feet is not an original cowhide DCM chair, but that it was possibly made to match the DCM chair with white feet, which has slightly more wear consistent with a chair from the 1970 period. The tags and stamps are not on the chairs, however there are areas of discoloration which seem consistent with what original Eames cowhide chairs tags and stamps would have been. This all being said. They are charming and quite rare examples of classic Eames, particularly since the comfortable cowhide surface denotes a uniquely american response to the overwhelming danish/european ... moreinfluence of the mid century modern design movement. They are wonderful and functional in their current condition.and though they would need some restoration to become showroom caliber pieces, they are by far superior in comfort, historical relevance, and rare styling than the many knockoffs and modern day reproductions that are available new today. These chairs in excellent condition often sell for between $1000- $2000 per chair. However, these chairs are listed for only $445 for BOTH chairs, shipping included. I am told proper refurbishing or restoration typically increases the value a significant amount in these types of circumstances, however I have not looked into this myself regarding these chairs. These vintage chairs are true American classics. And this upholstery type is significantly more rare than other types, and therefore can it can command a higher price than other eames DCM/LCM chairs in similar conditon. Vintage GE Frigid Tilt Fan Retro Modern Aqua Deco Mid-Century Eames Era Aluminum Up for auction is this vintage GE Frigid table top fan with aluminum fan blades. Probably from the late 50's early 60's this Eames era with turquoise color is"Fan"tastic. 80) The fan is mounted on swivels so it can turn all the way up if you want. The fan and base measure approx. 14" tall by 13 1/2" wide by 8" deep. It is a single speed fan with four metal blades. Has the metal frigid emblem badge on the front center of the fan. Fan is in excellent fully working condition. Runs quiet and is very powerful for a small single speed fan. The on- off switch is located on the cord. The electrical cord is also in excellent condition with no frays or cracks. Most of the paint is excellent but does have a few spots of paint chipping or ... morejust getneral paint wear. but nothing that would take away from this great old fan. Please see all the photos and please note any white spots are a glare from the flash and or the overhead light. The fan blades are great as well, but could use a further cleaning if you desire, but will leave that up to the new owner on how to do that. Mid Century Danish Modern Teak Wood& Metal Stand in Beautiful Vintage Condition. Sturdy and Straight I had this professionally re done so it is totally fresh. It is a true vintage but better. This is the perfect size to set next a couch or desk, and being sturdy you can load this up. Or use it to display a few well chosen bowls or potted plants. It measures 21.5" tall by 13& 1/4" wide and 8" deep. The only thing I can think to mention is on one of the wood legs, at top inside there is a small tight crack, it is not visible unless you really look for it, By no means does it affect the usage, strength or beauty of this piece, it is only a very insignificant issue. the metal legs extend down thru the wood, so there is no pressure on wood which is what gives this stand its strength. All have RARE medium tone powder coated aluminum legs and arms instead of the normal polished aluminum. For sale is a vintage 1970's wicker swag pendant ceiling light fixture. The dark brown wicker part measures about 16 inches by 16 inches and has a milk glass globe in the center that measures about 6 inches wide and about 6 inches high with a four inch opening. The wicker and the glass globe are in excellent condition without any flaws that I could find. The shade is attached to brass colored chain that measures about 11 feet. The fixture has newer wiring that is about 12 feet long. The fixture does not have any switch on it but could easily and inexpensively added to the end of cord. The upholstery is clean and from a smoke free home. Just some light wear to fabric edges at armrests as pictured. The foam padding is also in great shape and all cushions have zippers. The wood is in excellent condition showing just a few marks to sides, no chips or dings. sofa has nice solid wood peg legs that give this sofa that great"floating" look. This sofa is soft to the touch and very comfortable. Perfect for lounging or taking a nap!
