For your consideration is one(1) extremely rare. All-vintage ALEXANDER GIRARD Checkerboard Fabric Upholstered EAMES Herman Miller armchair. This is perfect for the purist who wants their chairs all-original-armshell and base are vintage and original. Shell has the Herman Miller logo embossment. As well as the interlocking double Summit triangles. Lovely and relatively rare pale gold and green checkerboard colorway over greige fibeglass armshell. Exhibits age-appropriate wear. As depicted, notably stains and fraying on the fabric and rust and oxidation on the Eiffel base, but the seams on the seat are tight, there are no cracks, and all the glides are intact on the base. Most probably dating from the 1950s or 1960s, the box has the looks of a Picasso piece. It is marked on the bottom, but unfortunately I can't quite make out the markings. Check out my other vintage items! The box's measurements are: about 4 5/8 inches diameter, and about 2 1/2 inches high with the lid. Which catered to the elite, mostly in New York. But his influence extended beyond the East coast and was often cited by magazines like House& Garden or Interior Design. He did contract work for several furniture makers who wanted the cache of his name to adorn their wares. One of these firms was Stiffel. He designed dozens of lamps for them through the fifties and they enhanced their reputation as"The Royalty of Lamps" and some of his pieces cost as much as 980 dollars- back in 1958! This lamp is as beautiful ... moreas it is scarce! Here Parzinger employs his trademarks- the four footed base. The spacer dish and the ringed finial. Parzinger was not interested in complying with conventional contemporary tastes. People who bought Parzinger pieces wanted designs that whispered about the past and had the flair and presence of established money, that didn't have to try too hard. But couldn't be ignored either. A Parzinger lamp needed to fit as easily in the decor of a French apartment as it would a Park Avenue penthouse. Parzinger pieces speak of their nobility. Elegantly. This lamp does so effortlessly. The thin shade. Double pull string sockets and elegant base bring a dignified presence to any interior. Stiffel was the standard bearer of lamp quality at this time and no mansion or penthouse worth its salt was without at least one Stiffel serving up illumination. Very nice condition. Some tarnish and small chips to the burnished brass, body and base. One of the four legs has been repaired. A sophisticated and bold color palette in the way of this retro 1950s Christmas tablecloth with original California Hand Prints cloth label. Stylized pine branches and snowflakes stand out against a background of holiday red. This one is in great condition. With no obvious yellowing(there are, however, a couple of very tiny dark spots, we tried to capture this in the photos) and no torn areas; looks like it was used only once. RARE MID CENTURY EAMES ERA ARTICULATING PRESCOLITE BRASS FIBERGLASS DESK LAMP In good original condition with typical wear for its Vintage. There are NO noted chips or cracks at the shades. Minor age wear at Solid Brass parts + age patina; slight wear and couple micro scratches at painted in black base. One shade is almost in EXCELLENT condition(pictures#5& 6) Because this one side of lamp was used only sometimes; another shade* has more wear, because this side of lamp was used often. This Shade has a little more wear at the surface(but because of shades original color this wear is visible just a little) and more wear from bulbs inside of this shade. Please see pictures#8& 9 for more details. Original wiring is evident and functions properly. Lamp has original ceramic sockets. Also there is original Label inside of one shade. Offering this gorgeous set of 2 rosewood nesting tables with tag made in Denmark. Tables are in beautiful USED vintage condition with some light surface scratches and marks. The smaller table has more visible scratches as it catches a little when going out and in if it isn't centered correctly. I have not polished so you can see the beauty with everyday use but I believe they will polish up and look even more lovely. Legs appear to be walnut or teak. These are the perfect height for the Ekornes Stressless Recliner(sold on separate auction) if you need more space than the attachable one they offer. Thanks! Apparently these shells were made ca. late 1950's or early 1960's. There is also a paper, Herman Miller patent number label. From an upstate New York estate we offer one or both of these fabulous end tables loaded with original mid century design. Each 3-tiered table has a formica top with blonde wood grain finish. Accented by dark wood and brass trim. All of these features combine for a pair of very retro, very mid century modern design. Each tapered round leg has a brass band about 2 inches from the floor. A little polish will have the brass looking like new again. Each leg also has a little round tip on the end for easy moving. Although the tables are not marked. They are high quality, strong, sturdy and well constructed. But I know that it was made by the Anthony Company out of Los Angeles. The bassinet comes with a bassinet pad, and it has an excellent spaceship/egg shell design. It is made out of a thick plastic, and has 4 very light cracks in it(pictured) Nothing major, but I thought I should mention. The power cord works and the bassinet rocks back and forth. It's really something to see! It has a thick strip that holds the bassinet sides together, and it also shows light wear. This was purchased in the early 1950s and it is definitely Mid-Century Modern.
