The glazing on this crock is in beautiful condition, inside and out. The crock has no markings on it but I suspect it was made locally as S.E. Within one half hour of where I live is where the homes of such companies as Roseville Pottery, Hull Pottery, Hall Pottery, Anchor-Hocking Glass, Hocking Glass, Fenton, McCoy Pottery, etc. were located. But slightly oblong in shape and the clay is slightly lumpy) 19th century 3 gallon salt ... moreglazed crock with bold cobalt leaf designs. It is sturdy, solid, and has a molded handle both sides. Due to age, the color of the clay has a slightly patchy appearance from discoloration. One of the handles has a few small flakes, but there are no other chips on the crock. There are three short cracks on the top edge that don't go all the way through the clay and look like they might be splits from firing. One very fine unnoticeable hairline on the top edge is slightly visible inside and out and is probably a true hairline from damage, but it is very difficult to see. All cracks are shown in the photos. There are two yellow streaks in the glaze on the front, also shown in the photos. They are part of the glaze and happened during manufacture. The crock measures 11" in diameter x 10 3/4" H. It will be packed securely in a double box and insured during shipping.

Up for bid are two vintage minature Mohawk liqueurs. One says Coffee Drip and the other says Cherry liqueur. they have their original wax and paper seals but I do not know if there is still liquid in them or not. They have their original advertising mohawk stickers on the bottle. The brown crock shows a crackling finish. They both measure approx 3 1/4 inches tall. these are pretty nice and in pretty good condition for their age. Mohawk originated in 1935 for their first trademark. So these could have been made anywhere within that time period or shortly their after. Tese are in pretty nice condition with no cracks or breaks.

Lo Rutherblen 8(the letters next to the Co I believe are Lo) This jug is flat on both sides see pics#2. 7, 8 and 10. There is a chip missing under the spout rim about 1inch long. There is no cork. There is no Alcohol inside the Jug it is empty. Measures about 12 inches tall,almost 5 inches across. The Caledonian Pottery was the third of Glasgow’s great industrial potteries to be founded. It was established at Garngadhill. In the north of Glasgow, in about 1800. It is thought that pollution from a neighbouring ironworks in Garngadhill may have prompted the move, between 1872 and 1874, to the site currently being excavated in Rutherglen. At the time of the move the Caledonian Pottery was under the ... morejoint ownership of William F Murray and John Macintyre, and continued to trade under its established company name of Murray& Co.The typical types of pottery that were produced at the Rutherglen site were all types of stonewares, such as spirit jars, ginger beer bottles, hot-water bottles and teapots. These were produced for export all over the world. In 1898, WP Hartley, the Liverpool jam makers, acquired the pottery to make jam jars, but continued the production of other stoneware goods. The company was prosperous until 1928, when it was adversely affected by the depression and closed. Missing glaze and small nicks on the lid where the bail handle latches down, and some crazing. LAMBRECHT DAIRY BLUE & WHITE STONEWARE ADVERTISING BUTTER CROCK-LID 1920s-1930s
Up for auction is a Lambrecht Creamery(Dairy) Company of Milwaukee. Wisconsin(Circa 1910s to 1942) Lambrecht Butter" Blue and White Stoneware Advertising Crock with a Glass Lid which was Manufactured by the Western Stoneware Company of Monmouth, Illinois(1906 to 2006) for the Lambrecht Creamery's New York and New Jersey Distribution Routes that's in Overall"Good" Condition from Circa the Late 1920s to 1930s. This crock is in nice clean condition with no chips. Glaze crazing, scratches, scuffs, stains or repairs of any kind and the very dark blue advertising logo is in its original condition. I'm stating this crock is in"Good" used condition because it does have two hairline cracks which start at the top edge. You can see these close up in pictures 11 and 12 and I encourage you use the"Super Size" ... moreand"Zoom" features to view these. Normally I would stay away from a piece with these issues, but this butter crock is an important part of Americana advertising from the stoneware pottery era and headed on its way to being a true antique. There's no reason to think this piece will get any worse concerning the cracks either as long as this crock is used as a collectible display piece only. Please don't worry about shipping it either. I've mainly sold pottery and porcelain items since I became an eBay seller in 2006 and I know how to pack it. Just check my feedback to see this for yourself. I also need to mention that this piece also has some of the typical flaws you find on glazed stoneware which are some glazed over dust specks and pinprick size glaze pops. This crock measures about 3 inches tall and across the top it measures about 5 1/2 inches in diameter. The top measurement is longer because of the shoulder it has and these shoulders were on stoneware crocks. Jars, bowls and other items to help keep damage to a minimum. I have searched several secondary markets and I cannot find another set anything like this set. If you collect Otagiri Tiki Bar items. You may want to consider this one! They are beautiful and a set of 4 at that! Has blue glazed design inside brown glaze. The blue design almost makes you think of swallows in flight. There is the same color of blue around the top rim. This is very nice pottery. Not chintzy at all! It still has it's foil label on the bottom of some of the mugs. It is marked OMC Japan on the label. A little company history: Otagiri Mercantile Company(aka OMC) was a Japanese manufacturer of tiki-themed ceramics. The business operated from 1960's to 1990's. The Otagiri Mercantile Company(OMC) was a major producer ... moreof tiki mugs. Bowls, and other ceramic items. It is sometimes incorrectly called'Otagiri Manufacturing Company' Otagiri was an $18 Million wholesale manufacturing company that produced tiki-themed ceramics for commercial establishments(tiki bars and restaurants) Otagiri also manufactured ceramics that were sold through retail outlets. Otagiri began producing tiki-themed items starting in at least the 1960s. And was responsible for many well known patterns. Most Otagiri ceramics were identified with a stylized yellow and gold sticker printed with the initials'OMC' and'Japan' Although Otagiri is closely associated with Tiki products. The company produced a wide range of ceramics and dishware. Otagiri items are eagerly sought by tiki mug collectors. Otagiri was a Japanese company with its American headquarters located in San Francisco. OMC was restructured in the early 1990s by its CEO. Very nice brown glaze. There is a glazed over dent on the top of one side and some glazed over pits. There is glazed defect on the handle. See photos. There is 3-111 marks at the bottom back of jug.
