A worn signature label on the back appears to be from famous maker. Bernhardt. The finish is in excellent condition with warm patina and minor restorations, see photos. Mahogany and matched flame grain panels with satinwood banding are beautiful on this American made vintage furniture. Brasses are original and drawers have dovetailed joints. Amazing Carved Oak Antique Server or Buffet Made in England
This is an amazing very heavily carved Sever. It was made in England circa 1880. To the back and base there are carved faces maybe family relatives,to the base there are 3 drawers for some reason there are no handles you open them from underneath with your finger there is a secret hole, this could be for safety children opening. The center of the base they call this a dog kennel and either side there are doors. The top comes of the base so its easy to transport. To the top either side there are very heavily carved fish above there is a gallery with turned small pillars. Great piece I don`t think you will ever see another one. Here we have a beautiful French Oak display case. The front door is carved oak in a Deco style. It has beveled glass all around with a mirrored back. It measures 19 1/2 inches tall. 13 3/8 inches deep and 14 3/8 inches wide. The interior plate glass shelf measures 12 1/2 inches by 11 1/4 inches. It is in excellent condition with a slight bit of finish loss to the top only. The lock works smoothly and has the original brass Art Deco key. This is one of a pair we are selling, originally meant to sit on the top of a sideboard. Note there is an unobtrusive groove on one side of the case that would originally allow a mirror to be held between the two cases(see photo nea the bottom) This particular case is the left hand opening door, i.e. the lock is on the right. Antique Albert System? Auguste Buffet Wood Clarinet Paris Roller Ball Keys
Here is an antique wood clarinet marked Auguste Buffet Paris Brevet B.G.D.G. The mouthpiece is also maker marked the same. Case that it comes in is a Holton. But I believe Holton sold these instruments as well. This looks to be an above average model with the rollerball keys. I think it is an Albert System clarinet. If it is a low pitch model, it should make an excellent player, but I don't know if it is or not and I don't know how to tell unless it is marked, which I can't find any L.P. markings anywhere. This looks to have been originally owned by a High School student, his if lost contact so and so card is inside the case. This leads me to believe it probably is a low pitch model as even back then school band would of required it to be. The serial number is 2059. It is also marked made in France. The case is a bit musty, the ... morewood looks very good, keys need polishing, but good. I see no cracks, but there might be some because of its great age. Vintage Buffet B flat clarinet- pre R13 serial# 41764 circa 1953. Excellent condition. Beautiful sound a wonderful instrument. The case is original, a collectors item itself. I am a clarinetists, not a dealer and have owned this instrument since the late 50's. It has been maintained and serviced by the best technicians in the Philadelphia area including the late, great Hans Moennig. The wood is in perfect condition, no cracks, pads and corks are all in top condition. The instrument is tight, there are cork pads on the register, throat keys and c# e flat keys on upper joint. A rich brown mahogany drop leaf table is the centerpiece of this beautiful dining set. With leaves down. It is a modest 26" x 42" With its leaves up it is a 66" x42" table. The three brass-pawed pedestals move smoothly on the rack and pinion as the table is opened to receive the 3-12" leaves making it an impressive 102" It has 3/8" thick custom table pads that work in any of the table's configurations. We are including 5 matching chairs with period upholstered seats and simple splayed legs. The mahogany buffet has simple curves in the top that are reflected in the double curved front. The drawers are dovetailed and the 2 felt lined drawers for the silverware have 3 divided sections. The original hardware has oval stamped brass back plates with brass bails. The corner cabinet compliments the set, but ... moreit was purchased later to complete the group. It has glass doors on top, with display shelves including plate grooves. The lower solid door area has two shelves. You might be able to tell from the pictures we are drastically changing the décor of our dining room and Duncan Phyfe does not go well in our new plans. This set has been in our home for nearly 30 years. The revival of this furniture style happened between the 30s and early 50s. This set has been refinished and the traditional red tone was removed giving it a warm brown finish that is quite durable and waterproof.

Thank you for viewing this auction for one. 1) Stiffel solid brass candlestick/buffet style lamp. This lamp is a beautiful older Stiffel lamp. The main design or shape can be described as a candle stick shape with and upside-down urn. The shape of this lamp is very nice, and less typical than most that I have seen. This lamp is made of brass, and is very heavy; unpacked, this lamp weighs almost 9 lbs. This is a Stiffel lamp. And can be identified thru the Stiffel label, which is still on the lamps socket. The condition of this lamp is best described as old. This lamp still functions without issue. And has a single level light switch, which is in working condition. The cord on this lamp still works, however the cord is older, and non-polarized, so should be replaced. This lamp has not been polished, so there is a great patina on its brass ... moresurface that can only be achieved with age. There is also white corrosive spots throughout the surface of the lamp, which can be cleaned. I have chosen not to clean or polish this lamp due to the fact that I like the patina that is on it. What you are looking at is a runner with edge and side tatting. With one side straight. This used to be my grandmothers and she used it on the back of a couch as a neck rest runner for the couch cushions. After inspecting it further, I believe it to be a buffet table runner(the long thin table that sits against a wall) due to the way the one side has no tatting. Either way, this piece is in great condition and I estimate it to be over 60 years old. The main cloth is linen, I'm uncertain what the tatting itself is made of, but that could be linen too. The only defect(which I have included a picture) is the right side end of the piece has one of the tatting dangle berries missing. It doesn't detract from the piece as a whole and you'll be hard pressed to spot it without specifically investigating all the tatting. The entire runner ... moremeasures 78" X 22" with the tatting, the inner linen piece only, measures 71" X 16 1/2" Since posting this I have been informed of the following by a Tatting and Crochet teacher: The pretty edging on this runner is not tatted. It is crocheted. You can tell by the picots(little bumps on the edges) A tatting picot is a single loop of thread while crochet picots look like little chains. There are four very strong ball and claw legs supporting the entire piece. These legs provide support in a stylish way. Ball and claw foot side pieces are hard to find!
