Small open shelf maple bookcase, 1950's
For sale is this small open shelf maple bookcase. Believed to be from the 1950's, passed down through my family. It is simple in style, with 4 shelves and 4 turned legs and retains the wonderful patina and original finish of the maple. The top shelf is an open gallery with six spindles. There are minor nicks and scratches as would be commensurate with age of this piece. The bookshelf is missing the maple button type covers for the screws(2 missing on each side) There is no maker's mark or stamp on the piece. It is fairly heavy for such a small item as the wood is solid maple. Dimensions are 36 1/4" high x 23 1/2" wide and 9" deep.

It has two glass doors and a drawer on the bottom that both lock but do not have keys. It measures 75" 6'5" tall. 43-1/2" wide and 18-3/4" deep. Nice hardware on the door and drawer. It holds 7 guns. Antique 2 Piece Pine Secretary / Desk - Cupboard, Bookcase
Selling the antique pine Secretary/Desk c. 1790 shown in the pictures. The top is easily lifted off the base as shown in the pictures. The desk surface folds out and is supported by an arm that pulls out from the base. The secretary shows normal signs of wear and use and has some scratches that can easily be refinished. Nice country piece. It measures approx 69" high x 32" wide x 19" deep.

This unique small book/curio shelf is in excellent condition- It is solid hard wood and measures 37" tall. 20 1/2" wide and 5 1/2" deep It has lovely beveled edging and decorative top and base. PICK UP ONLY IN TOLEDO. OHIO* Here is one of two, early 1900's era, quality made ~ LYCOMING GLOBE WERNICKE WALNUT BARRISTER BOOKCASE 4 SECTION SET" NO BASE OR TOP" ~ we will be listing today. This set was actually in a Lawyer's office, just like you see it. Lycoming was a division of Globe Wernicke and I believe that these are all Lycoming sections. They will fit each other perfectly well, so you could add to your existing bookcase. This four section set measures 59 inches tall by 33 inches wide by 13 inches deep. The inside of the bookcase sections measure approximately 31 1/2 inches wide by 12 inches tall. The over all condition is pretty decent with some expected wear from age and use. I do see that one of the little brass knobs to open the one door is missing. All in all, this Barrister bookcase set was well cared for ... moreover the past 90 or so years. Just acquired out of a private Midwest estate we are able to offer this exceptionally nice. Circa 1900-1910 ~ SOLID QUARTER SAWN GOLDEN OAK REVOLVING BOOKCASE WITH A TWO TIER TABLE TOP SHELF ~. This fine quality revolving bookcase is quite unique and has a wonderful look as you will see. It has a very unique, handy two tier shelf top and many different compartments for the storage of books. There are individual celluloid numbers below the book shelves to help you locate your desired reference book. The numbers go up to 34 and it looks like there may have been 35 and 36 as well but they are not there. It measures 43 1/2 inches tall by about 26 inches square. The sections to store the books measure about 13 3/4 inches tall by 9 1/2 inches deep by 14 1/2 inches wide" some of them are only 11 1/2 inches wide" We have never seen another ... moreone like it, and i9magine it is a fairly hard to find, desirable example. The over all condition is pretty nice with some expected wear from age and use. All in all, it was actually very well cared for over the past 100 years or so. There are some small separations between the some of the boards on the two top shelves. It is very sturdy and is in ready to use condition. We left this bookcase exactly as it was when discovered in the estate and did not do a thing to it. It has been is storage for quite some time. It revolves just fine and rolls on the castor wheels very nice as well. I believe that the finish is original and it is actually quite nice with a rich warm patina.
