The bookcase has 3 doors; 2 of them are glass with wood cut out grids on the glass. There are adjustable shelves behind each door. The wood door has a small drawer below it. The base has a slant top drop down writing area and small drawers on each side of the writing area. Behind the slant top are cubbies and another drawer. All 4legs are ring turned. Overall this piece is in great condition for its age. The top is showing some wear. Scuffs and scrapes. There is a split in the top board on the left side as well. I do not know the maker or exact date this was made. It is antique and will not be perfect. Measurements are 59 ¼ inches tall, 42 ½ inches side to side and 20 inches front to back. Vintage Mini Desk Set: This was acquired from an estate sale from an old vintage house. Great little collectible vintage item by Dennison's Set measures 4-3/8" in length x 1-7/8" deep x 2-3/8" tall. Consists of 6 little books- all are in super nice condition for the age with only a little wear to the tops as shown in the picture. The bottoms and fronts are in excellent condition- hard to find any in better condition than this set. Set has all components as shown in pictures- 4 key tags. 3 tacks, 8 paper clips, mending tape seems to be complete, gummed labels seem pretty full and the gummed reinforcements seems mostly full. The case and each box is made of cardboard. Bottom of the case is slightly messed up from stickers being removed. That removed just part of the silver painted bottom. For Sale is a Vintage 3-Shelf Wood Bookcase with 2 Glass Doors. It was made around 1970. Great case for storing books of value and older books. The smooth finish allows books to slide in and out with no damage or scratch. The two glass doors slide back and forth. The unit looks nice and glass doors work as they should. No damage. On the back near the top is a hairline crack that doesn't effect the unit's stability and is not visible when against a wall. A small sticker of a cute small owl on the top left of the left glass door can probably be scraped off if the buyer wishes to do so. Width 35 3/4 inches. Height 41 inches, Depth 12 inches. Vintage 1930's-40's Stacking Barrister Bookcase Set of 3 Nice Condition
Up for auction is a beautiful set of 2 + 1 stacking lawyer Barrister bookcases in excellent condition with original wavy glass. What is here is a set of two matching sectional stacking bookcases that someone has added a perfect fitting 3rd piece to add to the height and storage capacity. The 2 section bookcase marked"The Globe-Wernicke Company" of Cincinnati and is unusual in that it has the original drawer at the bottom. The middle section is marked HALE of NY. Nice original brass hardware on each. Barrister cases were made by many companies designed to interlock in pieces so you could buy just two and add if you needed capacity. The set measures 47" tall x 37" wide x 12" deep. The top has been refinished to match the mahogany due to fading but matches wonderfully. The middle sectional is a slightly browner mahogany ... morecolor but is not very noticeable. My camera is accentuating the color. If you saw them in person it is hard to tell. Each section has 2- 24 stacks each measuring 15" tall and 4- 22 stacks each measuring 13" tall for a total overall height of nearly 94" Not only are these 6-stacks very impressive in their stature but they are also quite difficult to find as an original unit. As mentioned these are out of a lawyers office and we have the entire office which was all purchased together originally. Up for your consideration is this lot of 4 furniture pieces from Fisher Price's Loving Family set(1993) I have included a bookcase with books. A chest of some kind, and a lamp(all attached) an infant baby carrier that has a handle that moves; a rocking chair and a bed. The bed has a piece of material attached as a blanket, the material was frayed on the edge by the pillow so I attached a pink ribbon to the top with my sewing machine. The bottom of the bed on the white plastic has some nail polish, I removed alot of it with nail polish remover, but did not remove the rest for fear of scratching it. This is the absolutely cutest little gadget for the smoker who has everything. This is a music box that winds up underneath. Push the button in the front; a melody plays while the top opens up and a little puppy appears holding a cigarette for you. Clever and practical! Tag on bottom says Made in Japan; must be from the 50's. Made of wood with a painted bookcase design. Measures 4.5" by 4.75" I have shown all sides; the front of the lid has a scratch not a split. But there is a 1" hairline split along back corner in 3rd photo, missing corner pin on front lid where it opens up for refilling the cigarettes. I love that it stops automatically after the puppy goes below.
