This early 20th C. oil or kersosene lamp consists of the cast iron sides fitted to make the heavy exoskeleton which has within the green slag glass panels on all four sides of the fount area and the stem. The copper fount lifts easily out and only has the mark"SUCCESS" on the wick knob. The fount will hold liquid. There is no wick present. There are lightly impressed numerals on the base and it appears to say"316 LAMP BASE" The lamp measures about 13 3/4" to top of the burner and it is about 6 1/2" square. There are no cracked or damaged green slag glass panels. Being largely of iron it is heavy. Weighing in at around 9 1/4 pounds. Primitive Antique Mission Style wood plant stand/small table. Another genuine early furniture piece that belonged to my Grandfather. Possibly from the 1920's( Table stands 13-1/2" tall x 11-1/2" wide across the top. Made of dark stained. 3/4" thick wood, not sure what type. Maybe maple. F our supporting legs are nicely rounded and tapered at the top. Wonderful primitive and rustic look with wear to many of the edges and residual white paint along one leg with some small splatters elsewhere. Hammered copper with a Sterling Silver Overlay design that is reminiscent of Heintz or Silvercrest. Measures 6 1/2" tall, 7 1/2" wide including handles, 4 1/4" deep. There is a brass or gold colored wash on the inside. There's a great patina on this trophy. there are some darker areas on it. not completely even all over. see pics please. This exceptional 100+ year old architectural element was inadvertently salvaged when it fell from considerable height during a remodeling project of a church. The fat friar clutching his keys and lantern landed on his head and was rescued by one of the workmen who subsequently sold it to the consignor. It has remained in untouched condition with chips and loss to the edges and a flat spot on his noggin from the inauspicious landing. The piece has exceptional detail and great old surface of tarnished and verdigris bronze paint chipped and flaked away in places to reveal the original ragged/glazed parchment finish. It is cast of plaster reinforced with horsehair or similar fibers and is sturdy and over 90% intact with the gnarly old nails still sticking out of his back. Vintage crewel embroidery on linen piece for pillow covering. Brightly colored with butterfly motif. Really striking. It measures approx. 14.5" by 15.5" In pretty good condition. But for 2 areas where the black embroidery floss is broken. Also, on the left hand side the linen is frayed to just about the edge of the needlework. Some slight soiling in the outer corners of the linen.

The silk embroidery just glows and the colors are gorgeous in the stylized arts and crafts style flowers. This most likely dates to about 1910. The embroidery was completed and then it was never finished into a pillow- how lucky! It will make a spectacular pillow or perhaps a table centerpiece. ANTIQUE old 19th Century Fine Art Metal Shield Sculpture Arts and Crafts artwork
Up for sale here is a nice looking antique circa 1870s to 1900 cast iron shield/ wall plaque impressed with various motifs depicting a medieval or Renaissance era battle scene in the center with cannons figures and armor around the edges of the shield. The shield looks most like the color depicted in picture one(the main picture) The other pictures we were able to highlight the details a bit better so you could see the elaborate decoration. The shield is most likely European made. Maybe English and has a maker's mark on the back. The work measures about 24 inches high by 17 inches across and is quite heavy weighing about 9 pounds. The shield has a silver colored finish that has been applied to give it a classical antique patina. There is very light even surface rust in spots that makes the shield look like it is from the 1600s rather ... morethan the 1800s. We think this light rusting affect is probably intentional and not really a defect in the work. There are no dents, cracks or repairs. This is a very nice looking decorative work of art. It has a hanging hinge on the back so it is ready to hang just be sure to have a sturdy wall to hang it on. We have seen auction prices for similar but not identical age and subject matter pieces bring in the high hundreds to low thousands each and some of those did not have a maker's mark on them. They are both hand beaten.hand hammered. They are both marked on the bottom" T Derby Silver Plate Co. 1673" Both are very solid. The creamer measures approximately 4 1/2" tall to tip of lid and 10 1/2" long handle to spout. The sugar bowl measures 4" tall to tip of lid and 7 1/2" wide from handle to handle.
