A Lovely Vintage French Art Deco Marble Table Desk Lamp Light Spelter Figure This is a really lovely vintage French art deco table or desk lamp. Typical of the French art deco period. It has a marble base with cast metal/spelter? figures of two small birds. It has a patterned pink floral glass globe shade. It has a net weight of just over 2 kg before packaging. It takes a bayonet type light bulb which is not included in the sale. The base measures approximately 25cm x 9cm x 2cm The overall height is approximately 14cm Condition The glass shade is in good condition. Free from cracks and having no wear to the gilding and frosting. It does have a few minor surface marks which are only noticeable on close inspection. The spelter birds are in good condition having no damage and are securely fixed to the marble base. The marble base at some point ... morehas been broken at one end(just below the shade area) and it has been repaired very well. The crack blends in fairly well with the veining in the marble and is almost smooth to the touch. The underside of the marble has been recovered with some foil. This item is wired with 2 core cable and has a'Zeppelin' on/off switch located midway on the flex and has a French two pin plug. As you can see it is in working order but I would advise you to have it checked before use. I take great care with my packaging using bubble wrap. Poly chips and strong boxes. Antique Art Deco Figural Elephant Cast Iron Lamp Base. Measures 9 1/8" tall to the top of the bulb holder X 8" tall to the top of the metal bulb holder. Marked on the bottom: P A. for Plume& Atwood in Thomaston Connecticut who started in business in 1871. Heavy cast base with a bronze or brass finish. Trunk up Elephant in a walking step with one foot raised. The base resembles a rock or stone ground with tinges of Red. The Elephant holds a round beaded disk in his trunk that attaches to the flame or lotus like open top. This holds an old paper covered lamp socket with faux candle drip and a Bakelite knob. The original wall plug. Which is included, but has been removed(for safety sake) is a very old rubber plug. The copper shank is included which when recorded will hold the bulb socket. Art Deco Ronson Chrome Nude Lady Lamp
This lamp is out of my realm of knowledge but what I have found is that it is referred to as a Ronson Chrome Nude Lady Art Deco lamp with the original frosted globe. No chips. No cracks, just wear from years of use. The lamp was found in the attic of a local estate. It is thought that his wife would not allow him to display the lovely lady! A replacement cord was put on the lamp but a period type cloth cord would probably enhance it. The black base is approimately 18 1/2" by 5 3/4" Height is approximately 13 1/2" The base which goes under the lamp is loose as seen in picture 4 and you will need to reattach; I am leaving as found so you can rewire if desired. This auction is for a Vtg Antique Art Deco Brass Music Bankers Lamp Green Shade 1920s 1930s- 18" tall. The base measures 6.5" x 6.5" The history as I know it: It was given to me in the early 1970s. The base was re-brassed in the late 1970's. It is still in good condition for being over 40 years since it was re-brassed. It has original felt on the bottom. The original shade was replaced by a reproduction of the shade also in the early 1970's. I don't know but the cord is in really good vintage condition but I didn't replace it. It works very well. A vintage base made of cast iron. The base is apr. 13 inches in diameter and apr. 4 inches tall. The center hole is tapered and has a thumb screw on the bottom side for tightening purpose. The top of the hole is apr. 7/8 of an inch in diameter and tapers down to 1/2 inch in diameter. There is loss and wear to the painted finish. The base weighs a little over 3 lbs. before packaging. Antique 1920s Art Deco Hanging Amber Crackle Glass Swag Lamp Rare High Quality!
UP FOR AUCTION IS: Antique 1920s Art Deco Hanging Amber Crackle Glass Swag Lamp Scarce- ITEM DESCRIPTION- This Antique 1920s Art Deco Hanging crackle glass Swag lamp is in great condition for its age. The hanging lamp came from a very nice local Seattle area home built in the 20s. When I first lit this lamp up I was very surprised to see how beautiful it really is. The honey amber colored glass puts off a wonderful bright translucent glow. This is a nice one.There are paint marks and overspray on the metal fixtures and it is missing the set screw to the canopy. This set screw is easy to replace. I am selling this as found and the fitter part of the metal fixture should clean up quite a bit. Everything looks original including the cloth covered wires. The wires are in very good condition but you may want to replace them because of how old ... morethey are. The porcelain socket is in excellent condition. The amber glass shade is in very good condition with no cracks. There are some minor small chips around the lip of the fitter but nothing out of the ordinary. Most all of the swag lamps out there are from the 60s and 70s but this is an original from the 1920s and its quality is far beyond any mid century swag lamp I have seen. Without the chain and canopy it measures 19" tall and the glass shade by itself is about 9" in diameter at the widest point and 11 1/2" tall with a 3 13/16" fitter. The chain and canopy measure about 27 1/2" tall and when mounted and hanging this entire lamp hangs about 46 1/2" from the ceiling. Of course. Some links could be removed from the chain to adjust the height if needed. Shipping may seem high on this auction but this lamp is fragile and I plan to double box the shade to ensure it makes it to its destination safely. The final box size will be 18"x24"x18" and at least 13 pounds fully insured. I ship same day or within one business day of payment received. DESCRIPTION: A vintage pair of matching Art Deco. Sconce style, wall hung bathroom light fixtures. They are 100% Complete, 100% Original, 100% Operational! I do not know the age, but am guessing circa 1930's. They both have a round bakelight switch at their base which allows for individual control of the lights aside from any wall switch to which it may be connected. The glass cylinder"chimneys" are large enough to accomodate regular size incandescent bulbs(I photographed one of them with a 60W bulb to demonstrate it's luminescence) The sconces appear to be nickel plated. A magnet will stick to them and the plating is thick. But please note that I am not a metallurgist. There are several design indentations located at several places on each sconce, in which it offers a textured surface that is in contrast to the super sleek ... moreshine of the majority of the surface area. The chimneys are a white milk colored glass(NOT frosted) and are evenly shaped cylinders. Important dimensions: Total Height = 8 1/2 inches. Chimney Height = 5 inches. Chimney Diameter 2 3/4 inches. Awesome antique art deco cherub lamp 1920s* This is a gorgeous antique art deco era cherub lamp which stands 16 inches high and 6 inches wide at the base. The brass metal shade is decorated with a fancy pierced metal border and 25 strands of ruby and amber glass crystals. The lamp has been rewired and has a brass pull chain socket with a fancy ruby and amber glass crystal pull on the end of the chain. There is a gold finish on most of the lamp except for the brass shade. I used a short round standard watt light bulb in this lamp which doesn't extend down beyond where the crystals end.
